Fished all over Redcliffe from Thursday to Sunday. Woody point jetty Thursday night, nothing. It was so windy it nearly blew us away lol. Scarborough just at the Eastern end of blue park. Lots of small bites. Fell over in the mud trying to cast out far in front of the mangroves haha. Queen's beach, got bites instantly with every cast. Only landed 2 bream. Some very decent bites. It would have been a good session for you, as you land them a lot better :). Scott's Point, just outside green zone, a lot of decent bites nearly every cast. Queen's beach is my favourite spot so far. We did pull in a lot of weed from there, but that doesn't bother me.

Strong SE tomorrow. Scarborough you’ll have the wind at your back.

Hey mate just wondering what wind direction do usually fish the redcliffe peninsular and also what wind speed there predicting 30-40km winds this week would you fish that wind speed cheers
@Wayne.Groomes.Fishing4 жыл бұрын
For whiting up to 15kn SE at Margate. Strong SE then high tide at Scarborough on the NW side. Wind from the N I go to Hays inlet on the low tide.

Thanks for all the videos Wayne - i spent a lot of time up in Woody Point and Redcliffe as a child, but didn't know how good it was for fishing. You've piqued my interest to get up there and have flick one weekend. Quick question - is North Reef the reef people refer to as Scarborough Reef? Or is Scarborough Reef different?
@Wayne.Groomes.Fishing3 жыл бұрын
North reef is the one right at the tip.

@Wayne.Groomes.Fishing4 жыл бұрын
Best to take a good look at it on a low tide. I fish to the NE. Live bait is always better
@jayt58184 жыл бұрын
@@Wayne.Groomes.Fishing any particular rigs you use when fishing shield street cheers
@Wayne.Groomes.Fishing4 жыл бұрын
Jay T really depends on tide direction and current. Difficult to nominate just one rig. You will find very lightly weighted will work on a slow moving current and another day May call for the bait to be anchored.

@@Wayne.Groomes.Fishing Great videos thank you, I tried a few spots including Shield street with no luck, but lost so many rigs. Ended up using no weight but bait just drifted to the beach. Any suggestions for rigs?

just a quick question wayne do u think a toyota camry will be able to tow a 420 renegade sc
@Wayne.Groomes.Fishing4 жыл бұрын
Check the towing weight on the sticker inside the front drivers door and it will tell you exactly how much you can tow. If its a 6 cylinder I suspect it will easy.
@wallaby104 жыл бұрын
@@Wayne.Groomes.Fishing its a 4 cylinder the unbraked weight is 500kg and the the braked is 1200

@@wallaby10 now just ask the seller the total weight or check the ID plates on the trailer and in the boat.
