About this foot swipe feature to open/close the trunk lid. When I bought my 2016 glc 300 4matic a couple years ago this function wouldn't work. No handfree access at all except for using the key fob. So I took it into Mercedes dealership. Had to wait around over 2 hrs & then pay an $86 bill to be told that the month my car was made was just before they added that feature for that year & model. I hope this info will help someone else.

Both should already be activated. The parking assist should show up when you are driving below 15 mph and a parking spot is detected.

That's normal, if you have the car is in Sports mode then it will start D1

It should automatically come on when driving below 10-15mph and there’s an open parking spot.

Thanks for watching! If you look to the left of the steering wheel, close to where the ambient light knob is, you should see a P with three strokes on it. Check to make sure that the red light is off. Once you get get close to an object it should start beeping.
