This video show that you don´t need to travel to the end of the world to get cool wildlife photos. You can do wildlife photography right where you live. I live in a big city, so it was time to do some urban wildlife photography. Every night a hedgehog comes in a garden. And by using a video light I can photograph this animal even tho the sun is down. Here is some tips and tricks on urban wildlife photography.

Finally someone who tells how they made the hedgehog come a certain place instead of leaving the viewer thinking it just happened out of luck, and showing how to get cool lighting aswell, great work 👍

Beautiful footage and photos, Trond. We have seen 2 hedgehogs in our back garden but I never thought to try and get really nice images of them from ground level. When they visit again I must have a go at that. Enjoyed this video very much, by the way.

Great video and pictures. I completely agree about urban wildlife photography. Just in my yard I can take pictures of raccoons, opossums, rabbits, squirrels, and a wide assortment of birds. City parks make good places too. There is even an advantage, these animals are more accustomed to people being around so you can often get closer to them.

Yes, so it is. As a wildlife photographer, we don't have to go far away. Life and animals are out there. It is still in our hands, we are responsible for our work in the field. Thanks for your great video. And you love shore birds... so I do that too. Can you please tell the name of the used video light? This year I shot a lot of pictures through the grass and leaves to get a specific frame among the subjects. Sometimes I think it could be boring...but every shot with this technique is unique. We have to be creative...but we have often less time at the momentes we photograph...so for us it could be named a sport, noone can this better comprehend than us as wildlife photographers.

Another fine backyard adventure, Trond. Most of my wildlife photography is being done on the back porch now. I set up some potted plants to attract hummingbirds and then I added some mixed peanut bits to attract other birds. I added an attractive background and I'm getting some nice pictures just by stepping outside the back door. In the past month I have developed macular degeneration in my master eye and started getting shots in it so I'm learning to shoot with my left eye now. Shooting isn't too bad with autofocus, but it's hard for me to see well enough to do precise processing. Still, that's what I have so that's what I'll work with. Looking forward to your next production, Trond. You always have something interesting.

some photographers think urban or backyard photography isnt real photography or its cheating. This mentality is a cancer in the community. Wonderful shots trond and great way to inspire others to get out into their own backyards and close to home. You relally dont need to travel internationally or hours away to find beautiful wildlife. I Heck i have no shame heading to my local duck pond often
