Recap 1. Carry a notebook -> saves time, can reference something in your own words, remember procedures or meds 2. Seek out opportunities-> “you’re not going to get any better by not practicing your skills” 3. Ask as many questions as you can -> make sure you write it down to reference to solidify 4. Ask for feedback -> during preceptorship you can do this so you can improve “leave ego at the door”

I honestly wish I could talk to you. I've been trying to pursue nursing since 2012 and ive ran into so many issues and haven't been able to finish. I was in a nursing program my senior year of high school and I had a D because it was a challenge for me and I needed to study harder and apply myself more. I also got accepted to another LPN program in 2020 and I ended up not making the score I needed to go to my second semester. I feel like all of this is a sign that it's not for me or that something needs to change. I do the absolute best I can when I'm in school and my grades never turn out how I want or I pass because the class was easy and it's not much of a challenge for me. Do you have any advice for me? I want to be an RN but if i wanted to get that done I have a long way to go. Not to mention I ran out of money from financial aid and now I may not ever be able to finish school because the money is gone. I would need a loan or scholarship in order to have the resources i need to finish my degree. Im upset with myself because i dont even have an associate's and I have 55 credits at thomas nelson and 37 at ecpi university. IDK what to do!?

Hang in there love. I’m in a similar situation and feeling so discouraged these days. I’m focusing on changing my habits in my every day life (sleep, phone time, healthy eating and exercise habits, etc.) to maintain a balanced schedule that will allow the study and focus time I will so desperately need while in nursing school. One step at a time! Not everyone feels called to be a nurse but those of us who are dedicated and passionate will put in whatever is necessary to make it happen and it will all be worth it in the end! Good luck 🤍
