Did you have any tips on arranging an album, im creating ambient music for the first time just for the fun of it and was wondering how many tracks are enough for an album, or how long should each track be? Thanks!

How do you do it so when the chord changes it isn’t a sudden attack on the the notes that are sounding?

If I am understanding you correctly....the main thing is designing or choosing sounds with the write time of decay and release. Also if you are using a monophonic sound (meaning only one key will play at a time) then that can cause issues when moving between sounds. Lastly, setting up a mod wheel to make the notes "disappear" in volume can be helpful in making chord transitions that do not clash. Not sure I answered the question but let me know if that helped! : )
