Thanks for posting all this. Texas Ready - who I really trust - highly recommends this method, but there are a lot of naysayers online who seem to be jealous anyone can out perform their meticulous gardens with the system! Nice to see some tips on how to use the system. Love the self watering setup.

Thanks for the tip… I finished my pvc watering system like yours but since then we have also been getting some good rains. Rain barrels are full and we will see how long 425 gallons of catchment will water our two 30 ft beds. With it being in the 90’s and dry this week. I just got back in from weeding. That scraper tool that the course recommended works great.

It’s a great tool, so much easier to use than a traditional hoe.
