Hi I’m trying to make to my high school team as a goalie and I want to be a starter what tips can you give me to become a starter in high school is there any training I could do during the summer to become a starter? Plz help me 😢😢

I may be a 7th grade goalie, but I do have some tips designed to increase your ability in major parts of goalkeeping. 1: Wear a weighted vest while training, as this will make your body and muscles stronger and gain more stamina. 2: Plyometrics are essential to increasing running speed, diving power, cross claiming, and injury prevention. 3: Watch some full pro matches on KZbin by searching for “Full Soccer Match”. Pick a goalie to analyze, and when they are about to get the ball, pause the video. Then try to figure out what they will do next, and if they do something different, see why they chose that. 4: Train individually or with a partner or two, so you can improve outside of designated training times. I train five hours every day working with my little brother, and it helps me stay above the game. I hope these tips help you to make the starting XI for your high school team! Good luck!

For me, my weakest point is with 1v1s, so I imagine how I’d make a 1v1 save before the game, and when that comes up, I can use my confidence and composure to make the save.
