Hi Kevin, I was in a car accident this year and damaged my 4 front teeth. In around 7 months I have had 13 dental appointments. I will be getting an implant in a couple of weeks too. I currently work in aged care and have decided to change my field of work. I'm doing a course next year to be a dental assistant! I've noticed in the youtube videos that a lot of the dental assistants are young. I'm now 49 years of age. Do Dentist prefer there assistants to be young?

Melinda , go for it!!! don't let dentists tell you other wise . You wouldn't tell a older person going into nursing school that they are too old .
