Having owned four residences, I learned do do this repair myself. This is only vid I could find that demonstrates the entire faucet stem repair procedure and it is going to my apartment manager with a maintenance request for faucet repairs.

How do u get the stem removed from the divertor in the middle mine is stuck and I can't get it loose and it needs to be changed so we can use the shower

I have the same exact shower. If you get this, my faucet is leaking. I don’t know how to take the faucet off and replace it. Can you maybe do another video on how to replace the faucet. Also the shower is not working. I will probably need a plumber cause the only way for this to get fixed is to put a hole through the wall that’s in back of the shower. Really stinks. Is there a way to convert a standard 2 handle roman tub faucet into a single handle so there's a spout, sprayer and just one handle for both hot/cold water?

i've been replacing the rubber washer on the hot side every year because the part of the stem that holds the rubber washer in place is broken off, so the washer goes bad quicker. Can I replace the handles, the stems and the seats on a 2-handle shower? Are the threads and hole size for the seats a universal? I can't find replacement stems at Home Depot, Lowes or TruValue.

Hey How to Plumbing! Great video, Im currently repairing my leaky shower and have fully replaced my cold faucet stem and got a brand new seat...When I turn the water back on the shower doesn't leak however as soon as i've run the water for a shower or just to test..when i turn the water back off it starts to drip leak. It's alot better than it was before but why do you think it could still be leaking after i've tested it?

Yes that's right, but also turn the hot water heater off to keep hot water from siphoning out from the water heater keeping water draining from any faucet that is open opening.

Hi, thanks for watching my video on how to remove a stuck faucet handle. I’m sorry to hear that you are having trouble with your faucet handle. Sometimes, the handle can be very hard to remove because of corrosion, mineral deposits, or a stripped screw. Here are some tips that might help you: Before you try to remove the handle, make sure you turn off the water supply under the sink or at the main valve. This will prevent any water damage or leaks if something goes wrong. If the handle has a decorative cap or cover, you need to pry it off with a flathead screwdriver or a knife. Be careful not to scratch or damage the finish of the faucet. Once you expose the screw that holds the handle in place, you need to loosen it with an Allen wrench or a Phillips screwdriver, depending on the type of screw. If the screw is stuck, you can spray some penetrating oil or lubricant on it and wait for a few minutes. Then, try to unscrew it again with more force. If the screw comes off but the handle is still stuck, you can try to wiggle it back and forth or pull it up and down to break it loose. You can also use a wrench or pliers to gently twist and pull the handle, but be careful not to damage the valve stem or the faucet body. If none of these methods work, you might need to use a special tool called a faucet handle puller. This tool can grip the handle and apply even pressure to pull it off without damaging the faucet.
