I walked this last week. My tip is to carry a super light pair of trainers as there is a lot of road walking in the middle section . I loved it, it was August and saw hardly anyone.😊

Don t do the Wolds Way, go up the coast and do the Cleveland Way and do it Filey to Helmsley . This is a true challenge and not boring , but its hard and very hilly .I ve wild camped it three times. Not much in the way of handy campsites anyway except for Kildale camping barn at £10 a night.Other places want £30 sharing with huge motorhomes

Cheers for the tips. I'm planning to do it in August and I did the Cumbria way 2 weeks ago. Looking forward to it but planning on doing it over 5 days.

I'm just back from doing the West highland way & itching to get out again, I work in a school so have plenty of holidays. I think I'll be doing the Norfolk coast path solo & was hoping to wild camp for the majority, I'd not even considered the problems of pegs & camping on the sand. I have the Lanshan 2 Pro too so it needs securing down. Is there other areas to wild camp along the sandy stretch? Thanks

Hey! Yeah, there are plenty of more grassy areas set back from the beaches which I had to use. But if you want to be right on the beach and have more choice of where to pitch, you can pick up some sand/snow pegs which should work well (never used them myself) 🙂

did you get a lot of motorbikes going past

No, didn’t see many at all. Most of the trail is just footpath so MBs couldn’t use it. There are some beach sections but still didn’t see any dirt bikes. There’s a small road section but again, no bikes
