My driving test is today and this is one of the things I had trouble with during the course. When making a turn I'd brake too much or too long, or not accelerate fast enough and I'd end up nearly stopped in the middle of a turn. I needed this desperately 🙏🏽

Thank you so much. I got my license in a small town in manitoba in 1996 and had my full license within 2 weeks. But I let it expire in about 2002 cuz I didn't think I would ever be able to drive Again. Since I was on the prairies and a town of 2000 ppl, with only 1 controlled intersection. Now here I am, after lots of driving experience before 16 even cuz it was farmville, amd a bit after 22, wanting to make sure I refresh on everything and learn everything new. You are clear with your instructions, and I hope your videos help me on my road test in a year. I have so many questions and so many things I thought I knew but was wrong and so much is new. Like 9 and 3. I was taught 10 and 2. That could have lost me points right there.

Please Harminder , Can you make a video on the waiting positions at major and minor intersections according to the number of cars ahead ? For instances if the advanced green with less than a minute ( short duration) at an minor intersection, 1st car goes forward , where would the 2nd,3rd cars positioned ( behind the stop line or on the pedestrian crossing ? Etc) It can be confusing at the road test , if you don’t know how to commit to the intersection while being in the right position. Thanks . Hope you can make it soon .

I failed my test yesterday turning left from a boulevard to a side street with parked cars. I turned too wide! I advanced too much in the intersection, waiting for the cars in the opposite direction to pass, and after I turned, I reajusted my steering wheel but It was too late, I had clipped a parked car's mirror(!), It only closed mine and nothing was broken but I was more anxious after that.. I would've passed too.... Also, choosing an Hybrid to take my test was a bad idea. It seems like the pedals are more sensitive and that didn't help me either... At least, even failing the exam, it gives you a fair assessment of your driving skills as a beginner. Baby steps!

I took 3-5 lectures for G2, watched all his videos, and cleared my G2 on the first try in July 2021, while people said I will fail because I chose the 255 Longside drive location in Mississauga. I drove a few times with friends and almost forgot that I had a G exam the next day at the exact location. Can you tell me what you think. If there’s a two-way road with the center turn lane for both directions. Car B & Car A are both in furthest left straight lane with Car A multiple cars behind Car B. As Car B was almost to a stop, if not stopped completely due to the red light so Car A slowed down, then turned on left signal to get into center turn lane to pull into the parking lot, on the left side of the road. Car A is in center turn lane while Car A was approaching next to Car B Car B decides to jump into the center turn lane, with no signal indication or warning. Car A has damage on the right front and some on the right side up front. Car B was hit on the drivers side front door and a little on the drivers side rear door. By the damage indication and this little paragraph (if it makes any sense to you lol) Who would you say is at fault? I can send a demonstration photo I did up myself if needed, thanks!

When you have a regular green light and want to turn left, how do you determine where in the intersection you stop to wait?
@musaa79193 жыл бұрын
A regular green light if there’s no car In front of you you roll up a little bit onto the road then wait until the on coming cars are clear and you make the turn if it goes red then you clear the road and go for the left turn but if it’s still green you just roll up a little bit and just wait for the cars to clear then go hopefully that made sense lol I tried😂🙂
@Bootysmackme4 жыл бұрын
If it is not a protected left turn, and we have to wait for the oncoming traffic to pass, can we stay in the turning lane until it is clear or do we have to advance to the middle of the intersection ? What if an opportunity to turn doesn't come while the light is green?
@TorontoDrivers4 жыл бұрын
Good question. If you are the first car behind the white line, then you should move up and wait for a gap. And while waiting if the light turns yellow/red, then you should turn when cars stop.
@user-ps5dh7kr9c3 жыл бұрын
@@TorontoDrivers hi, what if you are just behind a car waiting for an opportunity to turn left on green, but the lights turn yellow/red..do you still follow the car? Or do you back off (assuming there's enough space) and wait for the green light again?
@JLCD9052 жыл бұрын
@@user-ps5dh7kr9c You shouldn’t even be directly behind the vehicle that’s next to make a left to begin with. If there’s a vehicle in front of you that’s already waiting for his moment then you should be waiting behind the white line where pedestrians walk AKA point of no return. NOW, given you are that one impatient bastard and didn’t wait like you’re suppose to, you have to clear the intersection. If there’s space for you to reverse, great. If not, drive forward hoping you don’t get ticketed.

The "expert" driver on his first maneuver in this video taking a left hand turn made a dangerous move. There was a large truck facing him in the left lane. This blocked his visibility to a car coming at him in the right lane going straight. I know about this scenario. I was in the car as a passenger when a car almost clipped us when we took a left hand turn. When you are taking a left hand turn and a car hits you, it is automatically your fault.

Hi Harminder, I just failed my g2 test in Burlington while I was turning to the left from the intersection. the examiner press the break paddle. I was turning while the light was green and no cars were coming from the opposite direction. But the problem was that a car was coming from my left lane which should already have red light as I’m having green light. I asked to him I had green light so I was clear to go then he said that lane was also having green light. Is this possible?

Hi! It's been a year now since you posted your concern. I just read it and it really confused me. Are you talking about the traffic of lane/lanes on your left side, going straight through the intersection or the lane left to you. Sometimes the left lane is having traffic and the lane going straight appears to have no vehicle. Even in first video shot of left turn here, there was a truck and the traffic in next lane was barely visible in video. I wonder how do we ensure that there is no oncoming traffic.
