Great video! I can confirm that Brent is dropping some serious LEGO Idea facts here! Thank you for the shoutout in your video Brent, I’ve been a fan of your work since your Ecto-1 design! I’m excited to see part 2!

Ive been promoting my build as best as I know how across various social media sites. Reddit and Twitter are nice in that you can get a feel for how many people see your build, and how many have even clicked on the link to go to your submission. However I think a big barrier is having to create an account on lego ideas, and this turns a lot of potential supporters away.

Great video. How nice that you get a consolation prize if you get the 10k subs but not approved.

Thanks for making this series. I'm still trying to figure out how to get traction on the platform.

Great video. Sadly seems that advertising and visibility seems to matter more than how good your build really is. Some famous builders have lots of followers, and they reach 10k within 2 or 3 months, several times. For a "nobody" it takes years and a huge amount of time put into posting on socials to get there.

The equation is: idea x build x presentation x promotion.
