Looove the video. I struggle with dry itchy scalp no matter what I do. I don’t even have flakes but it’s always sooo itchy. And I’m thinking of getting a sew in. I know it will be a night mare but I want one sooo bad! Any tips?

I learned from Cyndoll that nothing goes on the scalp except shampoo. I watched a video on how to properly wash the hair, and I do that. After properly scrubbing the scalp, your conditioner only goes from the ends to the midshaft. If the conditioner is touching the scalp, it will shorten the time of you having a clean scalp, and you will need to wash sooner. Use a leave in conditioner, blowdry hair, and style. I apply nothing else to my hair til washday. I use kenra shampoo and conditioners and the daily provision leave in. This keeps my scalp from itching.

Hi, I definitely would recommend (if it’s not flakes and simply dry scalp) preparing your scalp with a specialized shampoo for itchy scalp, making sure that whatever hair you use for the sew in has been soaked and is clean so that you don’t experience an allergic reaction from the hair. Try using jojoba oil if your scalp starts to feel itchy. It’s a natural oil that mimics the natural oil produced by your scalp. It’s not going to clog the follicles. Apply lightly and see if that helps. You can use oils on your scalp, It’s just about choosing the right one the purpose of using it and how often you use it that matters. And you may need to increase your water intake.

Thanks for sharing. My problem is split ends. I cannot get past shoulder length. Do dry ends cause split ends?
@shadesbyshavondaКүн бұрын
Hi! Yes, dry ends are more prone to splitting and breaking.

Great tips. Do you also have a video about protective styles and how to do it correctly? I have fine hair and maybe my twists are too tight

No, but I can definitely add it to my list of upcoming videos 🥰

Thank you for all the tips!😃 I need help with damaged hair. My hair is very damaged especially in the front, more so than the back. I have breakage far up the shaft of my hair in certain areas some near the root, it’s not readily seen when I wear it out in a curly from because it looks pretty full but I know my hair and it’s not at its healthiest. I was tempted to cut all of my hair off and start all over but I’d really rather not. How can I save my hair, strengthen it, and bring it back the health of it without having to cut it off, if possible.

My hair is the same way super healthy long and thick in the back but I have heat damage in the front. My stylist recommended cutting the front 1/2 inch once a month to help get rid of the damage. I also treat my hair with protein treatments and keep it moisturized. This will be a slow process but I don’t want to cut all my hair off when my back id super healthy and not far from waist length

What do you think about crochet as a protective style

They can be helpful in protecting your hair. I do like them better than traditional braids. What is your in go for your hair?

I’m trying to get to waist length eventually, but I want it to be healthy as well. I find that the backs my hair tends to be longer and healthier than the front, is that normal?
@shadesbyshavonda11 сағат бұрын
@tamaragrant3484 Yes, I see this often because we tend to manipulate the front of our hair more than the back or the middle. And it’s not necessarily that the front of your hair is shorter, it could be the same length, but when you use a visual reference point (your shoulders for example), the hair in the back seems longer because it doesn’t have to grow as long on length to reach your shoulders than the hair in the front if that makes sense

Yes I understand because if I stretch the back of my hair it’s at like mid back, but the front part is at like my chin so. Is it ok to spray my hair everyday in the crochet style. I like it because I can still moisturize my hair. In my spray bottle I have distilled water, leave in conditioner and a little glycerin, and aloe Vera juice

I am having trouble with my 6 year old's hair. My and my other 2 daughters have medium to low porosity hair. She has high porosity hair. I am trying to find ways to keep the length retention for her and sometimes it's a little hard. Her hair is also about a 4c . It's thick but not coarse. I have recently started her on wash n go's as well using creme of nature argan oil shampoo, creme of nature argan oil deep conditioner, TGIN green tea leaves in conditioner, mousse def foam, and blue magic indian hemp hair grease to try to seal in the moisture. The moisture runs out fast. Also do you think she needs a protein treatment or use a bonding deep conditioner. I do straighten her hair every 8 weeks so I can clip her ends. I need help.

When it comes to high price here, the focus is definitely on moisture and hydration. A good hydrating shampoo is design essentials honey crème . You can use my link to purchase it here amzn.to/3CZ2U4e This is a good moisturizing conditioner amzn.to/3OB9kcv What style does she primarily wear in and how often do you shampoo?

Hi, our hair is always growing and the challenge is usually retaining length. Do you feel like your hair is dry and brittle because the battle with retaining length is not having those ends break off or split.
