I may be late to the game with all your videos Angela but I sure do appreciate them and I’m learning so much. Your training lives on!!

Thanks Angela, I always learn so much from you. You are so relaxed that it makes quilting less scary. I have surprised myself with how adventurous my quilting has become 😁

Thank you for encouraging us to use the pink for the feathers in week 3. I was unsure I wanted to draw attention to my feathers with a different color thread but I am so thankful that I did. Thanks to your encouraging word and incredible teaching style, I can now do feathers that I am proud of and am sure that many of my quilts will now be styling with feathers!!! I bought my longarm in December with hopes of learning to do feathers because I could not do them on my domestic and with your help I've accomplished my dream. Thank you Angela, you are my hero!

So, I recently started to get back into making quilts and wanted to practice quilting on smaller projects, well, found out my sewing machine isn't equipped to quilt. Not really sure hand quilting would be my thing. Totally bummed out about that, but, it's not going to stop me from watching your videos. Really enjoy! 😀

Love love love your videos. I’m going to practice all of these, some I have done, some I haven’t. I’m trying to decide how to quilt my compass star. I’m very frustrated with that. Once again, thank you for sharing your wisdom.

Two awesome videos today! What a great start to my week! Once again, I'm so inspired and you make it all look so easy that I can't wait to get to the machine to practice. Plus I'm going to meet you in person in Alaska!! I feel like an Angela groupie, which I suppose is way better than a stalker, right? The minute you talked about Alaska on your FB Q&A, I called my sis in Wasilla. She called the shop and signed us up for every class. And I bought plane tickets from Texas. Can't wait!

Did you show how to make it look like the feathers went under a design? How to plan it? Love all the information in this video. Thanks.

I am enjoying this free motion quilt challenge. The way you teach the feather design makes it doable. My question is how do you go back and forthe from the sit down machine to the long arm frame? Are you using pins? Red snappers? Magnets? I would like to know what tips you have about this. Thanks.

On your long arm.quilting what mode are you sewing in? Manual or regulated? Thanks for showing the contrasts of fillers, great lesson!

Angela, I really liked the lime green/yellow/gray panel that you showed at the end. Is that an exercise from a book or something? How can get the info to copy that? It has so many different things in it. Maybe just a picture of it that I could print.

I've been following along but am unable to actually quilt because my husband has cancer and told he has less than 6 months to live. I love your videos and it helps get me through my day and away from reality for a short time. Please keep us in your prayers and I will be back to quilting when it's time.

Tammy Sigman i went down that path with my own hubby, four years ago....the sewing kept me sane.....knitting, too, as it travelled easily to chemo treatments and hospital visits....keep yourself healthy and de-stressed, as much as possible, and know you have all of us standing behind you❤️
@priscillamartin66026 жыл бұрын
I traveled the same road you are on 2 years ago. Quilting kept me sane during this time, especially when my husband got to the point that he could do little but sleep as his body was declining. The advice to take care of yourself is extremely important. I will be praying for you.

I'm learning, and slowly getting better (making doll quilts, dolls aren't fussy and usually the young girls getting them aren't either) - but How the HECK do you see what you're doing? I have that foot (altho think I need to send it back, too much drag and doesn't flow like my "regular" free motion foot) even tho it just came today Need to check it out more. But I can't see what I'm doing. So I can't fill in or mirror etc. L love your videos, Elvira due to arrive Mon.

Hi Angela, thank you for another super tutorial. Apart from thd so slip mat. How do you place your quilt unddr the machine. I am quilting along on a memory quilt wich requires dense quilting and makes the quilt very heavy and tough to handle. Any tips would be welcome. Thank you upfront. Best regards from Ellen from the Netherlands.
@perfectstitchbyangie6 жыл бұрын
I was wondering that also. It looks so easy in that one spot but you do not see the struggles of managing a huge piece? Or is it just me that struggles?
@ellenlanda18186 жыл бұрын
Hello fellow quilter :-). No it is definately a struggle. Esp. since my Pfaff does not like the sideway movement, and I need to regularly need to move the quilt to keep the quilting acceptable. But it might be I am to critical ;-).

Loving your quilt-challenges, I am putting the binding on my free-motion quilt. I haven't started the Feathers yet, I printed the first two diagrams, but can't get the third one. The link on my email gives an error message. The you tube option links to the document, but won't print when I send to the printer. Any suggestions.

On the custom feather is it essential to first stitch the spine? Or can I draw the spine with a pen and use it as a reference. I don't love all the threat that builds up. Also, are your videos sped up or are they real time during all of the stitching?

Angela, do we quilt between the two big swirl motifs on the panel at this point or wait on that, like we are waiting for the motif at the bottom and too? Thanks!

Angela. I love you,but I’m frustrated. I have the plain panel and it’s like staring at a blank canvas. I’m struggling to begin even with your print outs. I’m visual, any chance you could do one of those.
@juliejorgensen15516 жыл бұрын
Hello! Let me encourage you to just start! I, too, very often struggle and freeze before starting (am also using blank solid fabric). Start with a small section and draw a wavy line. Do a feather, then add different shapes outward. Check out the Facebook group too -- so many different and beautiful photos to be inspired. Good luck!
