Hey! It really depends on your experience and field you are working in, programming / customer service / tech is definitely in demand. Barcelona is really gay friendly city so I am sure if you search for gay bars / meet-ups there should be plenty of those

@@MiddleclassTravellers hmm , I am not entirely sure about teacher positions. In my head I think you could try to do some private lessons. I know that some schools require catalan + spanish to teach, so it really depends on the place you’ll apply at

Hey Cecile , I have another video on finding a job in Barcelona. From my close friend circle most of them have found their job on linkedin. Regarding cost, if you're moving here without work, having 3-6 months worth of your monthly cost would be a great idea of course if you can. Cost of living now increased in Barcelona so considering to have at least minimum wage worth of money for each month ( around 900-1000 euros ) is a good idea. You probably could get by with less if you really try to and find a cheaper room in a shared flat. But without a job, there are no guarnatees so it's good to be on a safer side.

Hello, I have a question about deposit and security fee to rent an appartment. I got an offer to live in an appartment in Eixample on facebook and the landlord send me a bail. He asking me to pay a deposit and security deposit even thought I'm not in Spain yet. I did not get the chance to see the appartment in real life. It is normal? He even asked me to send the deposit to his secretary instead to an account to himself and that bank account is in italy.

Hey , it does sound pretty dodgy if I am being honest. Id say don’t send the money. At least apartment i got we paid reservation and only then we paid all of the deposits. “Expats in Barcelona” FB group is also pretty good place for clarifying such doubts. But i would say hold off for now as it looks too risky
