Traveling in the U.S state(Tx) to state(CA). Is it ok to bring my prescription medication in a weekly pill sorter in my carry on? It’s my first time flying and I’m traveling American airline. Do I just leave it in my little carry on bag(like a purse) with my wallet and smaller than a phone electronic devices

It's ok to bring a pill sorter with medication in them as long as none of the pills contain any liquid in them. You can just leave it in carry-on or personal item bag. Just make sure its easily accessible in case security wants to look at it. Enjoy your first flight!

I am traveling to England and Scotland this summer. I take several prescription medications. My husband does as well, We are trying to pack light and only with a roller and small back pack each. Carrying all our prescriptions in their original bottles is going to take up too much space. May I use a pill sorter and have a print out from my Dr.'s office of all my prescription and OTC medications that I generally take? Will London Heathrow be a problem? Thanks.

The TSA does not require you to have your medication in prescription bottles, but some states have a law that states that all prescription medication needs to be labeled. However, you should have no issues keeping your medication in a pill sorter in your bag as you go through security. As for going through customs and immigration in Heathrow, it's probably best to bring a letter of proof for the medication you are bringing. The letter should include your name, what countries you are going to, a list of your medicine including how much you have, doses and the strength, and the signature of the person who prescribed your medication. Yes, you can have a single bottle with a mix of medication. It doesn't have to be labeled but it does help during the screening process.

Hi, I am going to Italy for 1 month. I take a lot of vitamins so How can I pack this. I have nose spray from my doctor and progestrone is a medication I know I need to get a persciption note etc.. How to I carry these vitamins I have to have them?

If your vitamins are in solid pill form then you can just store them in your carry-on. You won't need to take them out of your bag when going through security or through customs. As for the nose spray and progestrone, as long as you have a prescription for it you shouldn't have any issues.

@@Castapher liquid vitamins are subject to the 3.4oz rule so if you need to carry more than that amount consider packing them in a checked bag.

In general, most countries will limit the amount of prescription medication you can bring to between a 30-90 day supply. If you need more than that then you will have to arrange for the medication to be shipped to you.

Since the container is metal it would have to go through the x-ray scanner. The medicine can stay in it as long as all the medication is solid.

Solid makeup is ok to pack in a handbag. Power makeup can be taken as well but anything over 12oz should be packed in your 23kg suitcase. For razors, as long as they are disposable razors you can pack them in your handbag.
