Mach's gut..

I wrote Testdaf and would probably prepare myself again and write in two more months. Reason: Even though writing and reading were easy according to me, I screwed up in speaking because many people speak at the same time in the recorder. Nobody mentions this part, which is the most irritating part I have had to face. Listening is similar to IELTS where you might lose track and need more practise.

Speaking part is the issue for me to. Even though i got TDN4 it was the hardest, because i couldn't even hear my own thoughts.

Wait, in 3 out of 4 sections you scored perfect and in the other one you scored very well and you are not satisfied with such a result? This sounds so German to me (I'm a 60years old native German) that I instantly thought we have to adopt you because you must be one of us who got lost somewhere on the way. Welcome home (to the nation you always had belonged to).

@@taylorintransit3421 I wasn’t super upset considering I studied for it on my own with only free resources found online so I guess I didn’t really know what they were looking for from the writing. Also I have another friend who got the same score as us too so maybe getting a 5 in that section is just impossible. 🙈 and yes I’m at uni now. I moved beginning of October and I just started online classes a week or so ago! 👍🏻

Hi loved your video, was very helpful and informative. Just wanted to tell you that, master's program requires 4 in all modules not 5👍😊 Are 3 months enough for preparation??? In January I'll be giving B2 exam and in April there's TestDaF exam
@taylorintransit34214 жыл бұрын
Hmm maybe it was the specific program that I was looking at that required 5 in all categories. Thanks for the correction 😊 I think that depends on how much time you are willing to dedicate per week. I spent 2 months studying but pretty irregularly until the end where I crammed pretty hard and I was already at C1 level. There are sample questions on the TestDaf website. Try those out and if you are really struggling it might be a sign that you'll need more than 3 months to prep, especially if you don't have a lot of time per week to dedicate to studying. Or maybe you would be a perfect candidate for an in person TestDaF course where things are a bit better structured.

Thanks for the vid! Quest: during the mündlicher Ausdruck, is there some way to know how much time you have left? Like was there a visual timer or something?
@taylorhafemeister87943 жыл бұрын
If I am remembering correctly, you have a timer on the computer screen that shows you how much time you have left to complete the task. But in nearly all cases, I was done speaking well before the timer finished.

@@taylorhafemeister8794 thanks for answering me! It's comforting to know that you had time left and still got a 5.

Well, just took the test. I had hoped I would be feeling more confident in the result, but I feel like it's a 50/50 whether I got all 4s. Everything except the writing felt like it went by too quick for comfort.
