Passed my mod 1 today. The guy before me lost it on the swerve test!! Grabbed a handful of front brake in the wet and ended up in an ambulance!!
@Omfgwhtavid7 жыл бұрын
If anyone is nervous about the swerve then look up "counter steering" and have a play about with it, even on a peddle bike. I found that to be the easiest and most natural part of the test since it was something I had previously learnt to understand.

Thank you for a great video. I am off to Brighton on Wednesday for my five day course and have my MOD 1 and 2 on the same morning. I didn't think about doing them separately but I guess that's because I'm coming from London and my school thought it best to do them together, so the tests are Feb 13th, both in the morning. I took my car test back in 1979 and have only just decided to take up motorcycling at 55. There's not much that makes me nervous but this certainly is that's for sure. I'm hoping that over 30 years of driving will be a good base. Fingers and Toes crossed! Cheers, Mark. :)

I downloaded a handful of Apps onto my android phone, which were motorcycle theory questions. just keep doing the mock tests until you are familiar with all the questions asked. Theres a mock hazard perception test on the DVA site. Plus you've got to have passed the theory test before you can go in for module 1 or 2 bike tests.

Failed my mod 2 yesterday, disappointed but not at the same time as I know I can ride. Had my mod 1 in the morning and passed with one minor for going 48kmh on the e-break. The company put me on a fast track course so 2 days training, mod 1 then Mod 2 after lunch on the 3rd day. Failed because on a narrow road, pulled behind a parked car to let an oncoming car pass and as I went to pull away....I stalled the bike (but still kept control of it). Knew at the point I had failed and I think I let it affect the rest of the ride as I ended up indicating left while entering a round about going straight. 2 things I never did once while on my training so I think nerves got the better of me. Ho hum, booked in for a retake on the 8th of April and looking forward to it now I know what to expect. Only thing was the extra £160 >.

@markhill85907 жыл бұрын
vitaly deuterium can you insure a 600 while you still have a provisional?
@bloodyhell4517 жыл бұрын
Well you used to be able to if you bolted a sidewinder onto it and had L plates. I gave the insurance company my test date for the start of the contract. I paid them. Had I not passed then obviously I would not have ridden it. And I would have informed the insurance company. And re-scheduled. As it happened I didn't need to.
@markhill85907 жыл бұрын
vitaly deuterium my reason for asking was I've already bought my bigger bike and I just wanted to know if I could insure it obviously not ride it but just in case it was to get stolen etc
@bloodyhell4517 жыл бұрын
Interesting. I'd ring them. Since it's not against the law to posess a bike you can't legally ride I don't see why it should not be possble to insure it against theft/fire etc. Otherwise you might have to do it via your house insurer under specific contents (might be cheaper!)
@markhill85907 жыл бұрын
vitaly deuterium I'll give that a go bud, I'm sure they would insure fingers crossed

@alexsp70862 жыл бұрын
Don’t skimp on lessons, find a good school and do it. I failed my first test and went to the school after and realized how many mistakes I had made. They do it for a living they know their stuff and it will also surprise you how much you don’t know about your own bike and technical abilities.

Done my geared 125 CBT there yesterday, had a great day. My main trouble was getting used to riding the clutch so much (prob because I'm so used to cars) and cancelling indicators lol I am more than old enough to do my DAS but partly due to cash flow I'm getting a 125cc and saving to do my DAS next year or early 2018, bit gutted but should be more ready for training on the bigger bike. Awesome to see more of Norwich on YT, I done a few vids in my car on another channel but made this one to do some vids on a bike, live close to the clock tower. Subbed :)

oh and with the whole "they have to fail so many per day" as you say that's wrong but i know for 100% fact as I was told by my old instructor who was a ex examiner that they DO have a maximum number they can pass per day so if they have reached that quota by time you take your test it doesn't matter how good you drive,ride you wont pass!! and that was from a ex examiner!
