I love these types of videos!! It’s astounding how underrated you are!! It’s so calming to listen to you talk about an art niche while drawing.

I really like your take on the whole "compare your prices to others" it's something I personality haven't heard anyone really say what you've said before. The "consider your audence" tip is another that I really needed to hear. It's wild how I recently started getting ready to take commissions and this video pops up. Just feels like the icing on the cake for me, thanks for making this.

this is really helpful and I can definitely see myself sending this to other people who want to figure out how to price their commissions! I'll be totally for real, I completely underprice my work, usually charging myself about 3 to 4 dollars per hour, which is about a fifth or a fourth of minimum wage in my state. anyways, all that to say. just remember, that when you're starting out, most of your commissions are going to be from people you know personally. a lot of mine are for ttrpg characters that my friends play. but, another thing to keep in mind is how much you're getting tipped. admittedly, some people are looking for cheap art any way they can get it, so won't tip, but more often than not, the people who commission me pay me what they think it's worth, which is way above my asking price. I don't get enough commissions to confidently raise my prices, as low prices are good for getting yourself out there, but once they start coming in more frequently, I'm going to change my prices to something that is more fair to me

Hey qwizz!!! this helps a lot, i just want to ask if there is another pay method that isn't real money that i can sell my art online, i know almost nothing about commisioning and have zero experience but i think my art looks nice enough to start selling it, your videos help me a lot!! :3

deviantart points maybe! (though i'd avoid actually selling on deviantart -- you can sell offsite and link your deviantart account for people to send the points to when they're ready to pay). you could also use steam gift card codes!

This is so helpful! Can you do one (or just reply here) how to price designs and OCs? I've heard that gift art doesn't count but owner srt does, and I'm confused!
