I like to use a slightly shorter rod when I'm bank fishing. 7 ft is good but I prefer a 6.5 or 6 foot rod because I'm less likely to get my jigs or lures caught in a tree when I'm casting. Nothing worse than getting a nice ten or fifteen dollar lure caught in a tree branch and not being able to reach it to get it out. Great video.

Oh absolutely! I talk about this in the next video actually! There's a big case to be made for using a shorter rod. Gotta love casting into the tree above/behind you. =)
