Today we are exploring more of New Delhi, and as we do we want to share with you many of the travel tips we have for traveling in India. We have been in the country for two weeks now, and have picked up many tips for traveling in India along the way! In today's New Delhi travel vlog we are exploring more of Delhi, including the lotus temple in New Delhi, shopping in Lajpat Nagar market, trying Indian street food (kachori and veg biriyani), and we also give you a tour of our New Delhi airbnb!
We have been really surprised by how much we enjoy sightseeing in Delhi! Before we arrived, quite a few people told us we should probably leave Delhi as quickly as possible to explore other parts of India, but we have truly enjoyed seeing this city over the past two weeks. Delhi has so many places for tourists to visit, and it's world class metro system makes it easy and affordable to explore this huge city.
Delhi is a very busy city though, so we have had to put all our travel skills to use here. After 1.5 years of full-time travel, we have learned quite a lot about how to stay safe and have a great time in a new country, and we hope you find these tips for traveling India helpful if you are planning your own visit to India! This video will also give you a good idea of what to do in New Delhi (in English) but if you want an even better look at things to do in Delhi, we would suggest checking out our first India vlog which shows lots of Delhi's top tourist attractions (and some off the beaten path ones as well): kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z5_CdGubbLuMl68

The begging advice was truely good. As an Indian I did one thing, when children comes begging they say they are hungry and would ask for money. If you want to feed them food they would try to avoid you. Not once or twice many times I said I would directly feed them and only 2 out of 5 children would agree to it. The one who asks for money, remember they might be in the hands of traffickers coz money is something they need to hand over. If they are genuine they would think a little but would say they would prefer to eat from some nearby stalls.

1) Schools provide free food and education 2) Govt has been providing free food to poor people since last 3 years And yet, if someone chooses to beg..it's the mindset. No need to be sympathetic. Nothing comes for free in this world. You need to earn it.

Happens most of the time, and when they agree to eat, man are they choosy, they have demands and know what they want. Its pretty funny actually, once encountered a kid outside a bakery shop, asked what he'll eat, and he very specifically said a certain pastry 🤣🤣 that was funny. But had to run after that coz many others start to come then and it becomes chaotic, cant really feed everyone at the time.

The begger advice is the best you guys have shared. Gving to NGOs is any day the better option. You are very correct on the child trafficking thing. It's a big syndicate, which also includes the entire family. The kids following Nicole are same with even the domestic tourists. The moment they realise you are not local, they'll perster you. Now, giving in and offering them money is the best way to discourage this business. We have many scheme, organistions (both govt and not govt) and religious institutions in India that take care of people. As you rightly brought out in the video, it's mostly a big business.

On the begging part, Mico can still pass for Indian. Our Indian brothers in North East have asian features, and they're a common sight in Delhi & Mumbai, in addition to all the Nepalese migrants who've made India home for many years. But yes, Nicole stands out a bit more. Also, you guys are wayyyy more braver than I, in terms of vendor street food adventures. I'd be worried with all those meals, and you guys sail through every bite. Great job. One point of note: Do as much shopping, there's tons of cheap things in India you can buy to take back with you - on Janpath in connaught place, There's a hidden gem called Anand Restaurant there ... try the Pan (indian mouth freshener), and if you feel like exploring more - try checking out the Lal Quarter Market or Lajpat Nagar Market. Get you guys some display stuff, kurta pajamas, t shirts, chai cups, and other nick nacks. All the best for your next video!

We did! I believe yellow fever was a requirement, but it would be worth checking on that again. Our time in India was part of a much longer trip where we've been traveling for 3 years, so we didn't get anything specific for India, we just got as many vaccines as possible to help us prepare for visiting most countries. We got things like HepA/B, Tdap, rabies, typhoid, JE, MMR, and maybe a couple others. We visited a travel pharmacist in Canada that helped us make sure we got everything necessary :)

Foreigners aren't supposed to fly them (for the most part) so the only time we flew our drone in India was in Kerala and Goa where there weren't many people and the people around us were okay with it.
