That is a Kifaru 22 mag, the black pack, I don’t think they make it any longer. They make some similar ones. 👍

Thank you for the reply sir. Would you say over your years of experience that Kifaru bags are some of the best bags? Right now I have a Kuiu 3600 pro. Im looking to upgrade to the pro600 but that’s because I have the frame already. I’ve been looking at SG and Kifaru, the Kifaru bags look amazing an well thought out. Just wanted to see if you had any input on packs. Thank you again and look forward to more videos. Cheers.

@@AdventurerAnthony I do like the Kifaru bags, but I think that all of the mainstream bags are pretty darn good at this point. You are not going to see a massive difference in Kuiu bags vs Kifaru. Kifaru bags are probably slightly more durable but they are also heavier. hope that helps!

Hi Cliff, just curious what you and others do once you’re successful and quarter it up. If using a day pack initially do take a load out in it. Doesnt it get everything else bloody and such. Same when you use a bigger pack, how do you keep stuff clean. I’ve struggled keeping stuff clean and then washing it out once I get home is always such a pain.

Hey Simon - one of the best ways to keep meat clean, although it seems counter intuitive, if the temperatures are below 45-50 degrees is to quarter the animal with the hide left on. Then you can skin the hide off at home in a controlled environment. If it's too hot or I don't want to pack the extra hide weight on the quarters, I just use a garbage for my first load. When you are quartering, when you get the first qtr off hag it up immediately in dark trees or throw it into a snow drift. By the time you are done qtring, that meat will have cooled down enough to throw in a garbage bag, into your pack and out as the first load. hope that helps! thanks
