Juice cumquats, mix with chopped chilli and garlic with a pinch of salt. Goes great with fried fish

My Maiwa kumquat tree has thorns. What’s wrong with my plant. None of these UTubers has a kumquat plant with thorns. My fruit isn’t orange yet maybe in January. How do you get a plant without thorns.

Mine has thorns as well, and big ones. It normal. Typical this is an indication the plant is young, less than 3 years old.

Cumquat is the Australian spelling. Anybody's guess as it is primarily an Asian fruit.
