Hello :) try with wet food first as cats prefer wet food by default. Then dry food once his/her appetite gets better. Try also to deworm or visit vet for further advice.

This is super old but instead of scrambling the egg you can hard boil the egg and then mash it down for your cat to be safe :)

True. My kitten were so payat before, she was skinny unlike her chonky siblings. Once I adopted her, all im feeding her are Meat. She's been eating raw meat for 2 months now, I just recently introduce her in dry food (Kitten: Royal Canin) Now i've been feeding her portion of Raw+ Dry, but meat had always got the larger portion. I think my babies have the ideal weight because i can feel their ribs with some fat and i only feed them 3x a day excluding the snack/treats. For breakfast i give them dry food with water and vco, on lunch time they will have wetfood/human food and for dinner i give them dry food again with water but sometimes i also give some human food. I give my cats human food as well mixed in to stretch their wet food. I buy chicken, beef liver, chicken liver, and every now and then salmon. (Whole salmon not canned) I put them in my slow cooker with some fresh rosemary and parsley to encourage with kidney health and mix it in with their cat food. Soulistc by choice but fancy feast when money is tight. They don't like fish to much so I stick with chicken or beef. It's the few times when I can get them interested in eating. I too have noticed they love coconut oil so I'm going to try that in their food. I use it on their coats to prevent fleas and I noticed they would gather around and clean the cat that just got their "coconut bath" and lick it off. I thought it was just because of the need to groom but I tried other oils that are safe for cats to help with a skin condition and nope they only lick the coconut.

Hey, the title of your video may be a bit confusing for some viewers since by title alone it sounds like you are promoting obesity. I know that is not what is happening (I actually watched the video) but to some viewers, it may be construed as you promoting "chonkers" aka the practice of making your animals morbidly obese. I would suggest maybe making the title of your video something like "How to help your cat gain weight" or "how to help your cat get to a healthy weight" (since that is what your video is about). This is not a bad video, not at all, it just has a weird title. I hope this may help a bit.

I have a thin (6.5lbs) 17-year-old cat, we would like her to get back to her normal weight (9-10lbs), what would you recommend as far as dry food? She seems to not be able to chew kibbles, due to the hardness, I sometimes add a bit of water, but she only eats like 8-10 kibbles. Did you ever figure anything out? I have a 17-year-old cat 6.9 pounds with hyperthyroidism. Obviously he is on the medication so his thyroid levels are normal but he still lose weight but is always hungry.
