I’m renting and the property manager is trying to convince me that the leak in the basement is just condensation. Water comes through the wall when it rains.

Get a home inspector at www.nachi.org/certified-inspectors who does rental ready inspections.

Most mold inspectors are incompetent and/of liars. Like building inspectors their "bread & butter" is referrals from real estate agents and property managers. I've experienced this personally AND had one admit this to me. He said they "won't find anything to mess up a sale" or will find what a property manager wants them to - or not. Be careful when hiring one. Thoroughly vet them. And educate yourself on indoor mold & inspections.

I agree. Hire only InterNACHI certified home inspectors. They are the best of the best.

You sound like what is commonly referred to as a special client. Mold companies make money by removing mold, why would they lie about there being mold? IICRC and NAMP certified mold inspector here. The amount of times ive experienced clients who think they know more than me is crazy
