I hold the bat right at the bottom of the bat even on the bat grip tape sometimes. That’s the way I’ve been playing since I was really young. Is that alright?

Each player has there own style. Holding the bat at the top of the handle will increase your potential power as you will create more leverage. However this will create lack of control of your bat face at impact if your not careful...

All that matter is what positions you are in at the point of contact. Steve Smith, AB, Shiv, Yuvi all have different stances yet are all world class... What is the definition of a trigger / do all batters need one? Each player has individual movements and techniques. Results & feel matter not aesthetics...
