Tips Tuesday are a super cool idea. Perfect for peoples who didnt really love the tech aspect of drifting but want progress. Or also a good reminder. Quick n instructive ! keep it up

I would understand if these types of videos dont do "AS well" but its honestly the best types of videos on youtube. Its why i started watching youtube. to learn. so keep it up man idc what other people say. I love this type of content. aint no one else wanna "reveal their secrets" on here and it sucks to see gate keeping hold new people back from learning how to address things on their car so they can do shit RIGHT.

Can't thank you enough for doing these! I'm in between cars right now (building my new car) and I'm realizing everything I did wrong with the old car. Each of these videos make me smarter and I get a better understanding of how to set up a car and what I need to implement into my new chassis

Are you keeping all this data? You could build a great computer simulation with this much explicit data. Tire conditions, pressures angles can all be easily entered in a database and extrapolated to give you probable outcomes to try. Maybe you need a Data guy at the shop. Nice explainer video. And nice editing. ✌️

Im excited for next Tuesday. So quick question, how would you be able to tell if you have too much anti squat or to little? You said it affects how much the dampers dampen the tire, would that be like you could go full soft or full stiff on clicks and you could not tell a difference? Or is that not what you mean?
@FDFraceshop8 ай бұрын
In its simplest explanation yes you have it correct. Also how the chassis reacts to bumps would be a good indicator of if the anti squat was too high. Driving at English town will has taught me most of this because of how rough the track is in some spots, I saw a lot of cars struggling in areas of the track due to antisquat not being setup correctly.

Any tips for solid axle cars? Mainly trying to get more side bite if that’s even possible on sra. Do 200tw tires make that big of a difference in grip compared to 300tw at the same pressure?

Another great video. If I had some nice rear lower control bushings from fdf my vette would be so much better 😂

We have the lowers done but not the bushings yet haha

Im going to play Devils advocate here and say that these settings can really only make a driver 10% better. At the end of the day, the driver needs to be able to understand how the car works under the conditions its put in. Chelsea Denofa usually fights this argument of grip up your car Vs not. I think these setup tips are great if you are already at the top of your game. But im 98% sure that someone like Chelsea could come into a competition with a not so well setup and dialed car, and still win. At the pro Level, youre only as good as your setup. At any other level skill can heavily outweigh good setup.

Couldn’t agree more with this statement, setup tips are just that, tips. Use them to your advantage if you can but ultimately 10 hours of seat time will do more than 10 hours of setting up.

You talk about adjusting anti-squat through ride height adjustment. Wouldn’t it be quick to add more shock pick up points in the rear? That way you can adjust the ride height without threading the shock up and down.

This is how my S14 was and your 100% right it was noted for this chassis aswell

@@FDFraceshop fair enough just wasn't sure if it was a glitch. I get not giving away the set up at present . Work hard for a competitive car no point giving away details
