I've been playing for a long time, but always casually. Have been looking for all the tips to step my game up. In particular, your info on bridge varieties was very helpful. That info doesn't seem to be in a lot of videos for some reason.
@basementbilliards23 күн бұрын
@ Yeah, while planning to make this video I looked around and didn’t see much info on that particularly, so I decided to incorporate it into the video. Looking to get feedback on what people think of long form (25+ minute) videos as well.

From 5:00 to 5:40 you mention using an open bridge for draw shots and a closed bridge for top spin shots. Interesting in that for most people who do switch bridges with these shots, they actually do it the opposite. Closed bridge for draw shots and a open bridge for top spin shots.
@basementbilliards23 күн бұрын
@@dangoldenberg704 I find it to be about 50/50 on this preference, but this way has worked best for me. Using an open bridge to draw allows for the stick to be more level getting more zip on the draw. With top spin, elevating the cue a bit with a closed bridge allows for a more steady topspin grab.

Really enjoyed your video and subscribed right after. I am in need of a break cue, can you recommend what you like or suggest? Id like to spend a little less than what a predator bk rush costs but i can do that if necessary. Im a small guy but i know now by your technique shown that it doesn't really matter.
@basementbilliards14 күн бұрын
@@ChrisSmith-gp6dc thank you! I really appreciate that and happy to hear you subbed. I would check out Ozone Billiards or Seyberts and look into Action or Rage (not sure if you play in leagues), but Rage makes a super heavy cue that is illegal in tournaments, but can be used in regular games
