Tips to installing rings and c clips scooter piston

Nice video! I wish I'd have watched this yesterday, my 1st top end rebuild was almost a disaster. I cracked the rings, and shot a pin clip into the crankcase. Hopefully the break-in goes okay.

The rings on my new piston have a letter on one side of the ring does the letter faces the top of the piston or the bottom? Anyone know? Thank you.

Any inscription on a ring should face the TOP of the piston.

Just had my corsa piston rings seze to the piston? I’m not sure what happened but I think it got to hot? There was a lot of Carbond holding them in and inside the piston skirt. You have any tips buddy. Thanks Brandon

yeah sounds like it didnt have enough lube and got to hot temp gauge is crucial
