do we always need to have a chord proggression in techno or we can just put any one 1 chord and then make mellody?

I think that a chord progression with more than two chords is unusual. In Trance, you often have a lot more chords and chord inversions etc. whereas in Techno you try to keep things as simple as possible.

zen! there is no such thing called lead voicing! there is only voice leading and its used to describe how the notes(voices) move between chords! If i play Dm G C in root position, its very bad voice leading because all the voices move in parallel. a d g f b e d g c By using inversion and making the voices move in smaller intervalls you can create a much nicer, subtler sound: d b c a g g f d e
