Eventhough this video is 2 years old, I am so grateful I found it. I haven't found anyone in the UK talking about companies for printing and packaging. I've struggled to find them on my own. Thank you so much for this video! Here's to hopefully starting my business this year!
@lawsdraws Жыл бұрын
Couldn't agree more! These UK-centric art business videos are few and far between, as most are US/Canada based, which is useful of course, but not when you get into the specifics of uk post and available supplies ^_^ Good luck with your business

Im so nervous to start selling my art. For many reasons. But you surely cleared my head on many topics. Im still scared i don't want to fail and i wonder if my art is even worth buying. But you've given me the courage to dip my toes in the water and sink or swim. I am so greatful for you and your advice. I hope one day i can repay you for this. love and peace 💕💐
@Sketchbybreathe3692 жыл бұрын
first of all its normal to be scared or think you will fail however any business when we open it there is profit or there isn't . you should try to think positive and say that your business will be successful and more people will buy from your products . so I wish you the best and successful in your business. and believe in yourself that you can do it and always think positive.

You get super cheap shipping material in the Internet. What you could also do is print on demand. You just have to connect your shop with the print on demand seller and they do the shipping for you.

This video actually helped me aa lot. I've been trying to do a ton of research to make sure I can do as much as possible for my shop. I have never given anyone my art before even as a gift because I have always been scared of rejection and that maybe they won't like it. But I've gained some confidence and have started an Instagram page for my art and have just now started to look into making a shop on Etsy. I am really excited for it and you gave me so much more confidence😄

I DO NOT recommend you have half commission paid up front. Get the piece done. Then send detailed photos to the customer and ask opinions. If all is well, have them pay you in full before sending the work by mail.
@Pypahsart Жыл бұрын
a valid opinion! but i must disagree since half up-front deposits are used widely in the industry for many types of artistry - commissions, tattoos, animations etc. And from experience, not getting the deposit upfront gives the client the freedom to get the commission and run without paying you at all. deposits keep clients and artists accountable and makes sure the whole transaction is done well
