Tips to Upgrade Your Gear in New World-Season 3

Hey everyone!
I was asked to do a video covering how I am upgrading my armor and here it is. You can obviously buy all bis items from the gear trader as well, but there are also cheap/free options for gear that are pretty damn solid as well and I name a few of them.
I highly recommend checking out Mecrow's video on the best in slot armor traits(found here • EXPANSION BIS PERKS IN... ) and then going to new world database(found here ptr.nwdb.info/ ) to link up the best traits with dropped items that provide as many of them as possible.

0:55 I'm not sure the GS of dropped is keying off of your current equipped gear. I just got back into the game myself and with all my GS625 stuff on I joined a Myrk farming group that was trying to get one of the orange mount items and I got several 680+ drops including a 695 sword.

I've been losing my mind as to why I couldnt see any of the expedition rings on the Kiln, watching your video just made me realise it's because I dont have lvl 1 in Jewelcrafting :X Great video tho.

When you roll the ring with a rabdom perk csn you later go and change the 3rd perk in the gypsum kiln or do you have to do it on initial craft

You can change it how many times you want as long as you have the mats 😉

I don't quite understand the crafting system. I want to craft/upgrade the Embers of Change, but people are telling me that I won't be able to get that to 700. Which gear scales to 700?

I thought it was gear that was past 625 but then i was told some other stuff does. I don't know tbh lol. I just check the kiln and see if I can upgrade or not

have u ever tried to upgrade any of your shirk heal pvp track gear to 700 on the gypsum kiln? they show up there but its giving me "craft attempt failed" when i try

Hey Else, do you have a tip for getting Dark matter? I only have 105 and i'm trying to upgrade my first item. I've done 100's of elite chests and all the main quest...

Mecrow did a video on it a few days ago. Apparently doing the mutated expedition at least once a week gives a lot. Cant remember if it has to be m2 or m3 though. I just delete pvp track gear and then buy the dark matter when it shows up. It's not fast but I'm getting a steady amount

My man you have the amulet, boots, and shirking heals. Thise three things are insanely overpowered atm. The Ankh perk is in its own bucket and is multiplicatively boosting shirking to silly amounts of heals. It is probably the most broken thing ive seen in new world since being able to move your window around and be invincible

I am enjoying it quite a bit but my opinion is get closer to endgame first and see if you still like it before you invest.

Does refreshing ward and Refreshing Evadasion even works still? They removed those perks from new gear so can only exists on pre expansion items.

If your gear score is lower than 675 yes

I wanted to hear how to "upgrade my" gear. to a higher gs the stuff I have now.

If you have the new named pieces you can upgrade them in the kiln. There's also a lot of very good 700 pieces you can get in the kiln for free. For my build I've updated my spear, my legs, crafted my ring, i could have crafted my earring and I am going to do my boots today, all 700 via the kiln

The pvp rewards are not very good, the chance of getting perfect pieces are hilariously low.

@@nib6383 health/shirking heals and refreshing is pretty damn good for track rewards imo. Would be nice if the weapons were better though for sure

The rewards aren't amazing but they're not garbage, the devs are making a bunch of very clear decisions in support of pvp it's a good thing don't worry about it
