Sorry but I don't think Asmongold was a one off. It was just a precursor. The other streamers all started together and are all in guilds, for the most part, so bad targets. I guarantee that this will happen to fresh players maybe not now but soon. And we know those folks exist and they will start this. I'm happy the conversation is happening this early.

I do hope that they start posting the patch notes to all testers, instead of only the PTR section. Patch notes is really something that every tester should have access to. With that said, I do enjoy listing to others read through them, and hearing their takes on the changes. I'll definitely keep coming back for more juicy notes 😂 Really looking forward to get some more testing done this weekend.

I discovered and reported the commodity dupe. There was some glitch related to trying to upgrade the caravan when there was items in it that when you removed the items and the upgraded it the items in the caravan reappeared. A bit chuffed that they actioned the feedback I gave them.

Droppings are the bottleneck for a lot of tier 1 buildings. You need thousands of droppings. It was slower to level any building that required produce (blackberries or lettuce) than it was to level any of the others. On Vyra the mayors are working together to have different buildings in each node, so it's been pretty stark which buildings have taken longer to get started. So it's gotta be an increase.

I'd think of it not letting you "loot ninja" without causing you to put yourself in danger.

The flagging changes have been both massive and very quick indeed. You're right about the duels. Now, players would have to be careful from accidentally flagging in towns or get killed by guards. I wonder if holding ALT alone would trigger the guards. I do think the game could benefit greatly from a friendly duel system. Sometimes we want to fight over something but we don't want to die or be punished for trying to settle scores that aren't necessarily a big deal.

What the hell, have you played wow? if you attack a player in a city, the guards will snare and kill you, it absolutely works, why would you not know about this existing system that works in other games. Seriously, what pvp expectations do you people even have?

Where is the footage of this Sawman duel? And no I did not expect those people to get whacked on the first weekend because everyone was on the same footing at that point. Now we are in the part I fear, there's a group of fairly levelled folks who can now prey upon those who are just starting. The whole point being to build themselves up to a point where a noob isn't a threat. The people waiting for the noobs and the people w/o a guild to take revenge for them are a plague. This is a thing that will only be exacerbated by the continuing gap between the ogs and the new players.

Increased durability to gear will most likely not affect repair costs, just mean that you need to repair less often which is still good but not going to save you money.

Pirate brought up a good question with his latest interview about character names. Even though it's preferential, I think that people, streamers in particular, should be able to have first rights on their traditional/matching character name because it can damage their reputation if someone takes their name and other people think they are that streamer. ESO does not let you choose the name of a real or actual fictional character (ex: cannot play as Harry Potter). What are your thought on something like trademarking a username for character names, or even having a 3rd party provider where you register your name like a website domain name?

Pirate Software got streamed sniped over the weekend, Thor wasted no time in putting the guild on KOS. The idiots then tried to use out of game actions to try and get Thor banned by mass reporting him, to which Thor upgraded the KOS to KOS in Perpetuity (aka permanent KOS on that guild).

Seems like people enjoy the patch notes being on screen and I do too! I also like when they are linked in the comments I understand that can be scary to lose viewers retention but I like to go through them at my own pace and then hear your thoughts!

Stunlocks, griefing, oneshoots game is trash alrdy

Scam game, nothing more. 8 years of development, p2w test packages ($250, $120 etc etc and having cash shop already) to test their game, +$80 million budget, +150 development size and get this quality (bad visuals, animations, empty world, lots of bought assets, very simple look buildings, gears, items, ship, character look etc etc and lots of bugs, server issues and so on problems) and see it as not near completion at all. Quinfall now looks more promising than AoC Alpha 2 for sure. AoC needs another 5-10 years to complete the game...

ive started on alpha 2 and running solo can be very difficult, i love it. the only thing i dont like is when an enemy is attacked by multiple people and it the kill goes to the player who hit it first, though respawning is fairly quick

I was able to pretty consistently replicate the bow bug by interrupting a bow basic attack with a dash and trying to swap weapons while dashing, and I forgot to do an in game bug report, but I posted it in the bugs channel on discord If you do get the bug, hit weapon swap and lunging assault at the same time and you'll be able to swap and auto again

Only time will tell if Ashes will succed, pvp mmorpgs are not big they lack the succes of more bigger games like wow or ffx14, they can survive for sure but new players are key for a game like this.

Regard the Corruption system. I belive it works as intended exept the level of corruption. Since theres only one Zone its not comparable to the whole map. Some other game that AOC are based upon. You couldnt pvp in the low area zones even if u wanted to.. When the other zones and higher level zones with open pvp with no penalties aka Nul Secc in Eve will be available this will be a nothing issue. This griefing pvp is like griefing in a noob zone and should be penalized greatly. Right?

I'm so glad I took the plunge. I have never backed an MMO, for obvious reasons. So thankful to have played this Alpha 2 last week and this weekend. Shoutout to the Suspects. /salute

Since it was shown in your video I do hope they update the water ripple effects to look better eventually. I know that graphics is low on their list of priorities so I'm sure it won't be anytime soon.

Holy crap! I was just thinking today that a good compromise might be to have a way to turn off PVP up until a certain level, where it would then become always on. I think it should be higher like lvl 20, but they are really putting thought into this.
