Light curing is a crucial step of many treatments in dentistry. But the science behind blue light for curing of dental materials is often underestimated. Secondary caries and fractures are still the main reasons for the replacement of restorations. And it is supposed that inadequate light-curing might contribute to those failures. This video provides useful and applicable tips and tricks on the optimal light curing technique for long-lasting and satisfying restorations. It refers to the Consensus Statement of the 2014 Symposium on Light Curing Dentistry held at Dalhousie University, Halifax, Canada.
