I saw this method being used by vaping biker about a month ago. It's nice to see this method is being used by more people these days. Also, I like how you use a carto instead of an old rda base. Awesome vid dude!
@conansmith62549 жыл бұрын
to help with the carto if it is empty you can get a wooden dowel and run it down the center for stability or always get a bolt and set it up with two nuts so they lock at the right depth on the mod or do a quick weld on a nut to keep it from screwing in to far. I use ultra fine and mild coarse metal abrasive pads ( like a green scrub pad but one white and one black ) used in metal work. Then a light coat of brasso (too many years in the Navy polishing brass).

My buddy and I posted this trick on instagram a couple nights back but on a drill press. Also a tooth brush on the threads and engravings will do wonders, especially on a switch mod.

+The Art of Vaping I use a small O-ring on the carto's 510 threads for the slight added safety for the mods threads and easy removal. Great vid! bare metal mods need care and yes some like patina's and stuff but this practice should be applied to all threads and contacts at a minimum unless you enjoy misfiring mods, hot buttons, and other oxidation related issues.

At 5:24 I would really strongly suggest people not to use drill power to screw a stainless (hard metal) 510 connector into a copper (soft metal) mod.
@airratchet73139 жыл бұрын
Agreed some elbow grease is all you need, along with a good polish. I get my polish from my snap-on dealer and this stuff is the shit.
@airratchet73139 жыл бұрын
+Joe Hearn I also use my dremel with a polish wheel for the threads and tight spots.
@Mindctrlpankak9 жыл бұрын
Not sure if anyone has mentioned this, but you should add a 510-ego adapter. Those cartos arent that strong and you can very easily get one stuck in your 510. Plus if the cap has shallow threads and its copper, it can shred those threads. The 510-ego is stainless and wont do any damage, easy to get out because it wont crumple like a tin can.

+Angel Rodriguez Glad to hear man, hope the videos helped you knock them out! With the Staple SFC try a different wire combination to reduce the heat. Use 28ga instead of 26ga and use .4mm ribbon instead of .5mm should help cool things down!

tried this on my old copper nemisis... worked like a charm. unfortunately it tightened the locking ring beyond return & in my attempts to fix it the threads got stripped. just be careful using this method if you have a mod with a locking ring. don't make my mistake y'all! either way that method is quite effective. I don't use that mod much anymore anyway
