I store in fridge just by packing in zip bags.. pulses n flours n nuts also.. never gets perished.. and buy in quality as required freshly.

My suggestion...I keep my chilli and garam masala powder in air tight container and store them in the dry area of the fridge. This retains its original flavor. I prefer this way as cold weather often creates unwanted moisture that results in the bugs.
