Faugheen? Douvan? Yanworth? Did they all just run and win? Wow!!

Let’s hope and pray he stays okay all the way to retirement. He’s one of the best hurdlers of all time and a favourite of many. He was never the best jumper, he always seemed to bunny hop or power his way through a fence, he was just that incredible. But this game is throwing him in the deep end. I worry for him jumping at a place like Cheltenham, or Sandown, but at the same time I hope he achieves something extraordinary and wins at the top level over fences. Let’s just hope the brave decision to go chasing is rewarded and The Machine puts fans on a high once again :)

So Faugheen trying to do a Night Nurse. Made two mistakes but still won, eventually. Night Nurse won two Champion hurdles and then went chasing in later career. Thistlecrack is another. Former staying champion hurdler then won the King George VI Chase.

to recover from them mistakes and then win good performence for first time over fences if he didnt make that second mistake he would have won by 7 to 8 lenghths////////// if he can put his jumping togheter i think he be hard to beat

was like when he 1st started over hurdles not fluent jumping. the faster they go the better his jumping will be !!!

I thought the same thing. Got such an engine on it. Don't think he's a chaser and best days are more than likely behind him. But to recover from those mistakes and scoot away at the end shows what ability he has.

To win like that after that jumping mistakes is a great horse will learn from that rising 12 won that like 8 year old.

If he proves to be a grade 1 novice over 3miles I’d send him straight for the gold cup wouldn’t send him for a novice at the festival

I wouldnt put him anywhere near the Cheltenham fences though on that performance

Yeah same here, I’d worry about him going round Cheltenham.. especially at Championship pace.. I just hope they be sensible with him, but at the same time, I hope he surprises us and achieves something extraordinary :)

It was his first start over fences ffs he jumped the rest sound apart from 2

At championship pace I'd worry. Very novicey, but the fact remains, he has an engine.

Why bother chasing him?, he won't win a grade 1 chase, he's 12 next January and has a history of back trouble, his team won't be satisfied until he ends up injured for life.....
@tiptonolympic44 жыл бұрын
Because he's a racehorse. He's only had 24 runs in seven years - low mileage. He's still clearly got plenty of ability and must be showing enthusiasm at home. Let him run
@ollaum4 жыл бұрын
I agree. He wasn’t the best of hurdlers, but his engine got him through, and on this limited evidence may be a no better fencer. And, as mentioned no longer has age on his side. Can’t see him setting the novice chase world alight personally.

@@ollaum thats a good one he wasnt the best over hurdles///////champion hurdle winner irish and english multiple grade 1 hurdle winner ill back him next time out
@ollaum4 жыл бұрын
My point was Mick, he’s a very talented horse, obviously. He wasn’t always the most fluent at jumping a hurdle. He got away with it yesterday against poor opposition. Good luck with your future bets on Faugheen. He won’t get away with that sort of error against better opposition next time. And he’ll not win at the very top level over fences (in my opinion). x

@@ollaum if he brushes up on his jumping doesnt make a mistake in his next race say its a grade 2 your saying he hasnt a chance
