Yeah thank you so much for this video its amazing! and a great tip to improve these videos to make them shorter and get more watch time is to zoom through repeat actions once you've done them more than 3 times. Slowing the video down again only once you are showing something new and reemphasizing something

This is a really informative video, thank you for posting. I'm curious if you ever use Adobe Freaco in your workflows and if it helps save any time? I was thinking if you did the work in Fresco you would probably save the time recreating in Illustrator?

Would it be possible to just do the noise/grain effect in after-effects without photoshop? i just dont see the point of going in photoshop when you redo the grain in after-effects anyway, but maybe i'm missing something. I'm gonna get started on this tutorial now, it seems great! Thank you!

I am kind of stuck on the part of making the animated grain and then making a copy and putting it on the other layers. How do I do that part? I just know I am missing something somewhere. Then the part that you changed the time from 2 seconds to 20 seconds. Do I have to open each comp and change the setting in each one or is there a setting to change it on the whole animation. I am very new to After Effects only been playing around with it for about a week or so. I have learned a great deal from what you are showing in this series though so thanks for all your dedication to making a great video.
@sherrilynnhill4 жыл бұрын
I got the part of changing the time to 20 seconds now. lol. I still do not understand what I am doing for the mask part just can not get that part. Oh well. I still did learn a great deal from this.
@TipTut4 жыл бұрын
If you're that new to after effects I'd suggest starting with my intro to motion graphics series, in that series I explain in detail the basics of working in after effects. Well done for persevering though, this is a complex animation.
@sherrilynnhill4 жыл бұрын
@@TipTut Thanks. I stated with this one first then when I got to the After Effects part I went to Adobe's web site and watch some there to get a feel for it then I did watch the series you mentioned as well and did learn more there as well. I do know more now about After Effects so I am learning for sure. The grain part is what is the confusing part to me. I know I will get it though just have to keep rewatching it.

Concerning the strip shapes like the vines and any thin shape, is there any reason why you still made it a shape instead of a stroke? It would have been simpler to do it because you only have to make open-ended lines and shift the strokes' width. Just wanted to know your thought process as a professional artist :)
@TipTut2 жыл бұрын
Stroke Width wasn't a thing in this version of After Effects, I'd do it that way now we have the functionality :) Like I did in this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eZvIfmOrj9WAprs

Okay, I'm going to ask the "remedial" question that gets the eye-rolls from the rest of the class for all the other real, REAL, beginners who know nothing about nothing! HOW did you even get the sketch from paper onto your computer and into Illustrator? Did you draw it on paper, scan it and somehow get it into illustrator? How? That's how new I am. I've literally never done that b4 and don't know how it works. Anybody wanna answer?? :)
