TIRANA, Albania 🇦🇱 - City Center Walk - 4K

Tirana is the capital city of Albania, located in the central part of the country. The city has a population of around 500,000 people. The country is and is up and coming as a tourist destination thanks to a lower price level than other vacation destinations in Europe.
Tirana has a mix of architecture ranging form Ottoman and Soviet-era buildings. The center of the city is the sprawling Skanderbeg Square with a statue of its national hero Gjergj Kastrioti Skënderbeu. The total area of the square is about 40,000 square meters and that's also where we start our tour.
We circle the square a bit as the center has some notable buildings. Soon we pass the early 19th-century Et'hem Bey Mosque.
Bunk'Art, housed in a former nuclear bunker, offers exhibits on Albania's communist era and World War II history. We won't go down there this time. Instead we walk all the way South. On this beautiful day we see Rinia Park and finally walk towards the Arena Center, where we end our long tour.

If one has the time I'd suggest a trip from North like Croatia with a bit Bosnia down to Montenegro and Shkoder, then Durres / Tirana, Albania. For me it was 6 weeks going via train/bus from Vienna to Tirana - all along the coast with some in-land detours. Viewers on my channel don't watch nighttime walks as often as daytime ones. See for example my Durres, Albania walk at night : kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZqWwlKmDebh4bdE compared to the daytime walk kzbin.info/www/bejne/hWqblppqe9aipJo Almost the same route, though 9 times more views during the day. It may also have to do with the bad quality of Pocket 1 at night. Now with the Pocket 3 there are plenty of evening walks (see my HDR videos of Poland, Spain, Portugal, Austria, Germany early this year) yet they still fail to get picked up by the algorithm kzbin.info?search_query=poptravel+hdr

Walking 🚶‍♀️ day or night, every one wants your Euro 💶 or dollar 💵 and you can’t comunícate with them 😮. Ask them, you can’t learn their language or speak it. It’s a retirees trap 🪤. Go and check for yourself 😇.
