Amazing test. I think this is the best video I've seen on this line of product

Thanks for the great test Drew. I’ve used the Maguires the turtle wax and theGriots products. My results are very similar to yours and now I only use the Griots. I apply one coat on all the tires. Wait a short time and then apply a second coat and I end up getting about a month of longevity out of it.

Oh this is perfect. Daily driver, outdoor parked, $20 or less products. Sure wish something would last 3 months.

I'll try to test those tire "coatings" in the future

Nicely done test and very thorough procedures used for the application. Your commentary was helpful with a good amount of detail. Watching this on my IPad at 1080p it appeared to me the Griot’s Ceramic looked the best because of the nice even color with no blotchiness. I would like to see a test of the Griot’s Ceramic Dressing and CarPro Darkside.

I really like Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions Graphene Acrylic Spray Coating. It leaves a nice satin sheen that for me last a long time. As a bonus while using this I learned I could use it on my gray faded trim to restore it back to black and protect it for as long if not longer than the tires. I like the smell of it also.

Really good test. It’s so hard to test tire dressings because of all the variables including tire compound and previous dressings etc. I actually had pretty good luck with the Adam’s but honestly nothing seems to really look good past 2 weeks if it rains for me.

To me, the Meguirs on the back looked good that many weeks without touch up. I would have also down two coatings the first day to make sure I didn’t miss anything. Thanks for taking the time to do this!
@DrewZ44 ай бұрын
No problem! I also did 2 coatings on the first day.

Good test, it's great to see real world durability. I agree there are so many variables and about two weeks is all you can expect. We get suckered into buying products due to the marketing. Good luck.

I like the way the Adams looks, that you can buy it in bulk and their instructional videos, not overly shiny but I like that the turtle wax has acrylic. As for another potential contender, Mckees 37 graphene dressing? Good video and even though I actually like the lovers in a certain way you were very scientific and realistic in your test!

I love Adams graphene on my vette. Long lasting. I use TW exclusively for the body and am interested in their tire shine.

Glad that worked out for you. Maybe try the others once that runs out and let me know how that turns out for you

Because of cost, about $35 a gallon, I use Pro Wax Blue Ice.

I've had great success with Lone Star. I find it to last a few months. Griots has a new rubber & trim coating coming out. It will be interesting to see how well it performs. I'm not a fan of spray on tire shine. Makes too much mess with overspray. Try testing Lone Star.
@DrewZ410 ай бұрын
Noted. I do agree that spray ones do overspray
@_IMNNOАй бұрын
I agree. Lone Star, DuraCoating, or RenewProtect Blak lasts the longest. They literally dry and last like a clear coat. Usually abrasion or curbing is the only way to remove them. However, once the tire is about two years old with 4 touch up layers, it can start cracking at the sidewalls. You then need to strip it down with some sandpaper and start the whole tedious process of prep and reapplication. It can take over 4-5 hours.

I purchased Adam's TrDr and the reason why is silly but when i was in the shop i looked up Coverall but found out it uses silcone and the cons of it and how apparently its only long lasting if you consistently use the product once every 2 weeks and how silocone pretty much deforms the rubber over time so i looked up Non Silocone tire dressing and 3D popped up but there was non but apparently for some reason Adam's popped up in the search so i got that instead. Thanks for the video

e en though its fading it doesnt mean there isnt protection. So thats what you need to do is test to see id the coating is still there. So not a reliable test
@DrewZ46 ай бұрын
I don't disagree with you that there could still be protection there but I buy this stuff to dress up my tire, not really to protect.

U spent a lot of time. Good video. Thanks for the input. Was debating between griots or Meguiar’s

You can always try both since one will run out anyway. Even the shortest duration one can work for people all depending on their wash interval. Cheers!
