Tired On The Inside | Pastor Steven Furtick | Elevation Church

“I’m tired.” Have you said that lately? When you’re tired on the inside, it’s all too easy to feel drained, overwhelmed, and like nothing is going to change.
In “Tired On The Inside,” Pastor Steven shares from the story of the woman at the well in John 4, showing us how powerful rest can be -- if we’re looking for it in the right places.
But what if one of the reasons we’re tired all the time is because we’ve been going to the wrong well? What if we’ve been running to sources of stress instead of God’s source of rest?
Being weary doesn’t mean we’re weak. Maybe it just means we’ve been “filling up” in the wrong places. Maybe we’re tired because we’ve been pushing against what God is trying to call us into.
He said, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11 verse 28).

I learned a long time ago to go to the well of his presence when my soul is weary but lately I haven't even had much strength or get up and go to do that. Before I watched this message was sitting down trying to get into his presence but my head was hurting from a headache that wouldn't go away and my thoughts kept wondering to other things and finally I said, "I'm sorry God but I need to watch something to get my mind off this headache." I turned this message on and right away the presence of the Holy Spirit and worship came on me and I got up and started worshiping and the headache went away almost immediately and I was wondering what had happened and realized that the worship that you all had been in before the message was now in my room even though I didn't see it live so all I can say is thank you once again for being a conduit of his presence and a blessing in my life.

I almost gave up tonight, I almost quit on life. Then I looked up I am tired on youtube expecting a sad song and I got this. I don't know where or how to sit with God but I want to. I want to go straight through instead of around. I want to life, and I want to live my life for Jesus.

I'm sorry for your suffering your not alone ever even when you feel like it. I know the feeling. To sit with God, to me, is to just get quiet, go in a room or somewhere alone and just try to feel God. Just start talking to him, out loud even and just pour your heart out, cry, thank Him for anything and everything you can think of in the moment. The times where I feel my lowest like I don't want to go on I do this. I get on my knees, and just start talking. Saying or thinking how I'm feeling and what's going on, but always thank Him as well. For me when I start going through and thanking Him (kinda tough when your feeling down I know) it's so much more healing in the moment then begging for His help, or asking for things. Have a good cry alone and just thank and Praise God. It may not make u feel 100% but it helps. Do this for as long as you need and soon you'll learn to to call on His presence and just be with Him. Hopes this makes sense and is alil helpful. ♥️🙏 Prayers for you.

I am here because god has a purpose for me and he has one for u. Be still and know that he is God. Keep building ur relationship with worship and teaching and God's word. That’s just what Jesus does! He shows up when we least expect it with exactly what we need and how we need it! He is never late and He never fails us. We all know about a time where darkness seemed bigger than the the light but then Holy Spirit shows up on the scene like Superman ; to save the day and to rescue His children! What an awesome God. I suffered from infertility tried for so many years to get pregnant. I always prayed to god to please bless me with a child. I was watching a mother play with her son on tik tok one day I cried and screamed to God "God please give me a child!!!!!" that same day something in me told me to take a pregnancy test... it came back positive! I couldnt believe it I was in tears and in shock!I took more pregnancy tests and they all came back positive! A week after I found out I was pregnant I found a cross necklace a few steps away from where I worked at and I then knew it was really God all along and never left my side. I now have a 11 month healthy beautiful baby boy. He's turning 1 in a few days! ❤ God is good!💜Amen🙏🏾

I have been this woman, I have had a horrible past when it comes to relationships, and I’ve carried so much guilt and shame. Hi there, The Sabbath was "sanctified" or "קָדַשׁ" which means to set apart for holy use Gen 2:3 "And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it..." (KJV), and thus Adam and Eve kept it holy. Infact, sin is defined as transgressing or breaking any of the 10 commandments as per 1 Jo 3:4 "..sin is the transgression of the law." (KJV). So, when Satan sinned, he actually broke the 10 commandments for indeed angels also have to keep them in heaven Psa 103:20 "Bless the LORD, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments..."(KJV). Infact, the saints, described as those that "..keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus." (Rev 14:12, KJV) will keep the 10 Commandments in the new heavens and the new earth including keeping the Sabbath holy by e.g gathering to worship the LORD as per: Isa 66:22 "For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make...it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD." (KJV). Hebrews 4:9 "There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God." (KJV) The word 'rest' is translated from the ancient or traditional Greek Manuscript word 'σαββατισμός' (Sabbatismos) - A Sabbath, Rest. The 7th day Sabbath still stands active today for GOD'S people. I am not going to force you to keep Shabbat holy (I encourage to do a study on this matter) but if you end up coming short in the end, remember that the LORD did reach out to you using me. Heb 4:1 "Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it." (KJV). I digress. * Food shortage will lead to a civil war in America. * Climate change will lead to Sun-day laws. GOD Bless 💙💙💙

A fellow i met yesterday gave me a word... he told me to talk to God... He told me many don't recognize God's voice because it sounds a lot like their own voice. So they don't pay attention to the voice. But, one can tell if it's God's voice by the tone, volume, clarity and vocabulary.

Right now I know something is breaking off me. Worship music does Aid me...The tasks of life, the jobs I'm applying to don't seem important. Do need increase in finances...the Deep tired is related to my son (In anger, he went to ex husbands- we share custody). 3 Mos plus- wdnt talk to me. I slipped on ice. ER ALL night. Barely slept..got called Not caring. Nursing my self ...offense was taken. EX not understanding. Had just started to be better w covid...I was "found guilty" and told to apologize, not do that again. ?? No slipping on ice- I can't promise that. IS v hard to apply to jobs...feel completely unwanted( I know that's wrong). Am nervous starting any new job. Son came back mothers day. I see him 1 day. He graduated. Praying we have more time together. I m not going to Receive anger...I ll go out and son can talk to the air. This independence thing of son- is like his father. GOD heal the Post covid wounds...they are painful.

Sometimes I bully myself every time I want to rest. "You did nothing today. You never really did anything that was significant. Why are you tired when you accomplished nothing?" And I always tell myself that I don't deserve to rest because I shouldn't feel tired at all. And I try to overwork myself just to justify the feeling of me being tired, just so it'd make sense. As soon as this message began, it really struck my heart that you don't have to be busy to be tired. Because some of the things we're tired of are inside ourselves. (I honestly can't count the number of times I told myself: "I'm tired of you." haha) It takes faith to stand up. But it also takes faith to SIT DOWN. It takes faith to admit you're tired. And dare I say, it takes faith to take a rest. And I'm just so thankful that God is not detached and that He is a Father enough to just sit with us through it all. It's okay to be tired. Thank You Jesus!

Ya...is it chopped up sleep? I wake at 4 am...7 am...Work afternoons some days. Praying for order...Am getting up in morning..Life brings things. Get up ...tired is kind of normal...But this deep tired? Am doing walks, some swimming..Finances are not great. Worship is so good! Yrs of going and going...think a less busy life is good...not serving mammon...am healing from grief like period( 17 yr old son "break"..at ex husband's Feb to May. He s also tired of the season of school/ covid/ lack of connection. Tough to figure for anyone. Moving around expends the restless feeling..Praise w the Body of Jesus- v good for our inner man

Idk how long I’ve needed this... being a nurse in a pandemic is tiring. I was not only tired physically but also mentally! It’s hard to explain to ppl how tired you are... this kind of tired you can’t. My soul was tired... every inch of me. This is my church and I love it!! Praying for everyone with depression and anxiety through this pandemic. God bless you all!! Thank you I need to hear this!! ❤️❤️❤️
