Nice video. Finally a video of someone actually running these machines and not just talking about them.

Thanks these track machine have literally changed the world lol. Everybody is moving dirt now. Like a zero turn lawn mower.

@SadlonCattleCompany Yes, indeed. I will start with a mini skid steer. I just need it for residential use.

For a dairy farmer, wheeled makes the most sense. Most Dairymen are on concrete 95% of the time and they are in cow manure. Much easier and faster cleaning cow manure off tires than track system guards, etc.

Great video! I'm looking to start a landscaping and light excavation business in my local area, I'd love to get a track machine to start out but man they are proud of those things, hard to find one under $25k where I'm at. And that's with like 5000 hours, dents everywhere half the paint scraped off.

For those that are debating this in a cold climate and do snow clearing. Those cold rubber tracks (no links like a steel track) suck up the fuel. Upgraded my kubota 65 wheeled unit to a tracked unit this year. Clearing the same area at -35 used up almost twice the fuel. I do prefer the tracked machine in every other aspect though with some screw in studs I push an 11ft blade like nothing.

I have T870 I use for general dirt work and clearing but I use a mfwd tractor for cold weather work and pushing snow. With more clearance it can climb through drifts or deep mud better

@@nicholastuttle2445 I don't doubt it I used to have a 100hp kubota tractor with a blower on it, it made the skid steer look like a toy for snow removal, But for everything else I prefer my SVL 65.

tracked machines are crazy good on the rough stuff for sure. and more stable generally which is big. but if you actually need versatility it's wheels, you can put tracks on wheels but you can't put wheels on tracks. wheeled machines are often though not always quicker and more fuel efficient than tracked and when it comes to pushing snow you usually want wheels

@@SadlonCattleCompany I'm really excited to go see them. Not sure if I'm in the right spot to pull the trigger. It's really complicated. Nevertheless, I've enjoyed your videos on them.

It’s not the made in China that’s bad it’s the made by who in China, there is a lot of garbage made in the USA. Cat can set up a company in china aka cheap labor and give them quality parts set high standards put the right person in charge and now you have quality stuff.

What about the tracks that go over the wheels vs a tracked machine. Would that option lead you more towards a wheeled machine.

nope. my track machine brings in a easy 50k per year. bushhogging thorn fields getting pads to grade . getting drainage to grade. the wheels machine is only good for loading in my opinion. track loader is a precision everything it does. You cant grade wortha crap with air tires.
