Like others have said, I stumbled on your videos (1st playing the resonator) while I was on my quest to buy my first Sunburst J-45, ultimately settling on a Gibson J-45, to compliment my D28cw. Not only did manage to get another guitar I love, I discovered this amazing guitar player who may be, even, probably be my current favorite guitar player. I know now you have other gigs but please keep you solo music out in a world that needs it. The Collings, the Gibson Southern Jumbo, and the Beard Resonator (I think) wonderfully meld with your playing.

Superb job - nice, easygoing style and arrangement. THIS is the way it ought to be done. Great to see guitars like that in the hands of people who know what to do with them. However, that dull finish needs to be addressed to make it shine. I typically use some coarse steel wool followed by 80 grit sandpaper to bring up the gloss on my guitars.

Beautiful playing. Love your new album. Your CJ45 is the Adi top with mahogany back and sides, right? What differences do you notice between the standard spruce and adi tops?
@missouriboy662 жыл бұрын
Yes mine is Adi. I’ve not played a Sitka version yet. Typically, Adi tends to be a quicker response and “snap”, but that can be subjective.

Came across this by chance - bought Bob's Sanctuary album just like that. Look, I like all kinds of music (Bluegrass, EDM, Power Metal, etc) - but...I feel like (with some exceptions of course) what has become modern 'worship music' falls so far short of...music...for me (worshipful or otherwise). I feel it's a dis-service to lose the beauty and greatness of many of the old hymns, especially when played as Bob has here.
