This 75 year old white boy likes it too. But then I've been listening to black gospel all my life. My favorite was and still is The Angelic Gospel Singers. Back in the 1950's they got me through three years in the Army. I wrote my mother every day while I was in Germny. I always signed my letter "I'll be alright." Could a white Kentucky boy (55 now!) come down and hear some of that wonderful music? Nothing but beauty and majesty in the song and the message. Peace to you in Oakdale. I first heard this song on a Sunday morning on tv back in the 70's and thought, yeah, that's how gospel ought to sound. I believe it was Bobby Jones leading the choir? Anyway, the song has been with me all these years.

I was raised up on these songs, I gave my heart to the Lord in a Bible Based Holy Ghost feeled Church, where this is the type of music I fead and, and it just makes me want to run through my appointment when the Pastor or the Deacon who is singing goes from the song directly into prayer Oh Glory that just gives my heart so much JOY, I just have to give God the Praise.
