Thank you for showing other manufactures of 1911’s. Because colt isn’t the only builder of these and these other builders are putting out good 1911’s ! Good enough to have in our homes to defend our families ! Foreign or home bound! If we would go to the range 6 times a year ...... that would keep the gun in operation and we would be familiar with the tool! Oh also tell that young lady she was printing in that other photo with that tuckable tool!! Just having fun with y’all !! Heheheeee

Have got get one ASAP, already spoke with Mr. Gürsel and already started the purchase! Damn I haven't been this excited for a firearm since I started looking around for my second pistol. My first was randomly from a friend who was just unemployed and was desperate for income and ended up selling me his 709 slim, which was literally a project after project, just to get it decently reliable. Haha from then on i just can't do the polymer plastic nonsense, and your channel has led me to purchase four pistols that have been amazing handguns. I won't go any other channel for reviews. So thank you, sir! 🇺🇸

I was issued a Colt 1911 with a chest rig ( I’m left handed) in the service so it was made for right handed people. That is why, along with the price $900 + on up along with the non ambi safety stopped me from buying. Now that I know about this one, it’s on my list. FWIW: The pistol looks like it might have a Government Model-spec frame, and not a true Colt Commander-spec with its slightly shorter dust cover and frame rails. In addition, the ejector has a Government Model profile, and not the offset design that Colt uses on its compact .45 models (Commander, Officer's ACP, and Defender) as well as all of its non-.45 variants. As a result, you should be able to swap out the short slide assembly for a standard .45 Government Model if the mood strikes you.

I shot a tisas 9mm this weekend. The thing was awesome...better than any other 9mm I own or have ever shot. Of course much of what I have shot is Glocks, Sig's, and Smith and Wessons....all polymer and the Tisas was aluminum frame with a steel barrel. I was just really impressed and haven't seen a better gun for the money. What has been your experience with long term reliability? We only shot about 100 rounds this weekend and I don't own the gun

What do you think about that Ceracote finish? Do you think that is a Cheapo finish or is it supposed to be better than Blueing or a normal Black finish that they use on most guns now-a-days?
@GBGuns6 жыл бұрын
Cerakote is all about the prep. It's hard to say, only time will tell. I've seen good Cerakote survive hundreds of draws in and out of a kydex holster, I've also seen bad cerakote scratch from simple optics mounting.

Nice review. I'm not a 1911 guy .Is a bushing-less system is better?
@danielwatters12036 жыл бұрын
When you go to a shorter barrel in an M1911-type pistol you ultimately run out of room for a conventional barrel bushing. On a true Colt Commander (4.25" barrel), the bushing skirt is trimmed shorter as is the thick portion of the barrel forward of the upper lug. When Springfield introduced its 4" model, they had to trim the bushing skirt all the way back to its retaining tab. (Springfield eventually switched to a bushingless barrel.) Gunsmiths back in the 1960s and '70s who made compact "Bobcat" conversions of the M1911 would end up lathing off the barrel's entire forward upper lug just so the bushing skirt couldn't hit the upper lug during recoil. The US Army's Rock Island Arsenal did the same thing when converting M1911A1 to the shorter M15 General Officers Model. Colt went a different route with its Officers ACP (3.5" barrel) by making the internal diameter of the bushing so wide that it would completely slide over the barrel's upper lugs. Ironically, this required a coned barrel just like a bushingless model. However, I suspect that Colt was trying to avoid infringing on Detonics' patents for the Combat Master, the first production M1911 variant to use a bushingless coned barrel. Note that when Colt introduced its 3" barrel Defender, Detonics' patent had expired. Thus, Colt reverted to a standard bushingless configuration.

@GBGuns4 жыл бұрын
Why? For a name?
@realtalk61952 жыл бұрын
Colt and Dan Wesson are both owned by CZ. Here's a better idea, the thousand dollars or more you save from buying a Turkish gun, you can actually spend on American businesses and far more of that profit margin stays in the US instead of being sent to Czechia. The same goes for any German, Austrian, Belgian, Italian or, worse, any Serbian or Chinese crap you buy. P.S. If you buy any weapon, car or machine from Europe, most likely it will include Turkish-exported steel in it and often times Turkish-made components.
