Tisell 9015 Explorer Watch Review. Best Rolex Explorer 1 Homage Watch?

Excellent review, thank you. I agree fully that watch preferences change over time... I had a similar experience in that the Explorer has become my ultimate/grail watch. I hope Tisell is still shipping to Canada in the midst of the problems the world is experiencing at the movement.

Great review. I love the explorer but not the price or the size. I prefer the 36mm ref.1016 explorer but then again there is the price.Tisell really does a great job of build quality, pretty hard to beat. I like the homage that Eddie Platts over at TimeFactors in the UK of the Explorer ref 1016, but his is over $400.00, so a bit more than the Tisell but is very true to specs of the original ref 1016. Beautiful watch. The Rolex Explorer is the best men's watch design to me. This is a very good homage.

Hey, have you worked out what alternative straps fit it? The male end links are awful but the pin holes are in an inconvenient place. Thanks in advance

Was really hoping for a Lume shot, I work nights and need a watch I can see without lights. Another con with these is the noise that the rotor makes. Give it a good shake and listen. I mean your not gonna walk around with your watch up by your ear, but they are kinda noisy.

I've never had an issue with "movement noise" from Miyota movements. I personally think it's way over-exaggerated. Tisell typically uses a steel inner movement holder ring, so it keeps the movement more stable in the case.
