You can't deny that there was something special happening in the early / mid 90's. I absolutely miss the f*** out of the 90's.

I never knew Tisha once had a music career. Honestly, this sounds so good, wish she had more promotion in music.

She keeps it interesting, while being undeniably sexy and sexual, but still manages to be cute and even laughs at herself during parts of the song. I really think there needs to be another video like this.

The disadvantage of being in the military overseas and not seeing music videos. I saw her sing this on SOUL TRAIN when she debuted, but never saw her own . Videos . I've been watching her and Tichina on TV since they were children and they have NEVER gotten the accolades they deserved except hosting ST AWARDS SHOW

YEAHAAA!! Such a talented lady. I still watch "Martin" all the time. Watching "All of Us right now". I always loved hearing Tisha and Tichina sing. Them in "Little Shop of Horrors" was EVERYTHING!

It's a good song, Vassal Benford is one of the songwriters. He wrote songs for Freddie Jackson, Stephanie Mills, Toni Braxton, Oleta Adams, Jade, Chante Moore, Lisa Stansfield, Des'ree, Ralph Tresvant, just to name a few. Plus Tisha is a great singer. Too bad her album didn't do well on the charts.
@TheRetroWoman80 Жыл бұрын
Indeed he did a lot. I wonder if that is Jade helping with these background vocals.

I remember when CDs first came out. There were very few titles available on CD and they were found in a tiny section that was usually at the rear of the record store.

Well it was an early 90s song. Music from a prior decade tended to have a bit of overflow into the ne t generation in the early years of said decade.

I don’t know why the director came up with this Singin’ In The Rain shit but it absolutely takes away from how great the song actually is. I can see people in ‘93 watching this like nah this ain’t it. The competition in R&B was strong back then but she actually had a solid album. Too bad she thinks it’s wack. I don’t know how she would have been able to film Martin and have a singing career but her record label could have done a wee bit better job of promoting her. Back then there was a lot more boots on the ground work compared to now in music but I think her album should be more appreciated or even KNOWN to people.

I love a lot of Janet's music however as far as vocals go no comparison. Tisha can sing and Janet is not a vocalist.
@motherlisha Жыл бұрын
Janet got her earlier dance style and moves from Paula Abdul, who was her choreographer for years! So, it's not always about someone else's style but the choreographer they use, not to mention in that industry everyone bites off of everyone! Janet used a lot of Michael's moves and I don't even want to get started on Beyonce who took a lot of things from other artists throughout her whole career. It's an industry!
@pepsitainment27573 жыл бұрын
The only black female to try and perpetrate Janet Jackson and Fred Astaire style at the same time, with weak lyrics and average vocals and beats!. Congrats Tisha, you've earned your steak today. 😄
