For interview, Obviously prepare your background in internships, your undergrad, your work experience. Finally, Answer "I apologize, but I will surely read more about this" if you don't know the answer in interview.
Make notes on analysis of Indian budget.
For knowledge based questions, citing EPW, WHO or ministry reports in both essay and interview will fetch extra marks.
Make notes from either The Hindu OR The Indian express. Leave politics, military, international and diplomacy based articles. Mark for issues like schemes, domestic, social, policy, trends, etc.
Watch RSTV's The Big Picture. Make notes.
Watch to The Hindu News analysis by Byju also.
Google for newspaper issues and add the search term "Frontline" or "Down to earth" for scoring extra marks in interview or essay.
Google "gist of yojana" OR "gist of Kurukshetra" and read only relevant articles related to your masters.
Google "policy briefs" on contemporary issues related to your masters.
