[Tissot] LeLocle Powermatic 80 - The Classy Watch For All!

Hello! Today I'm sharing with you the watch I got for my father on his birthday.
I brought this watch at Tissot's retailer at ION Orchard. This piece caught my attention when I was browsing my options there. The roman indexes, the dial that plays with the light as well as the display case back all added up points to why I got this for my dad. My dad still wears this watch until today (already 2 years), honestly I'm glad he does! I wouldn't want him to put aside this gift. Nevertheless, thank you for spending your time here! Cheers!

I love this watch, it has my favorite roman numerals on any watch. I had a hard time deciding between the colorways and ended up going with this exact one. The white dial is truly something to behold as it really glimmers in the sun light popping the pattern on the dial. I also was deciding between the Powermatic 80 and the older Automatic variant, I ended up going with the latter as I switch between watches too often and I really love a high beat 4 hz movement. I can still keep it off my wrist for nearly a couple days and it will still keep time +/- 5 seconds.

A superb and often under rated watch. Beautifully finished and the Powermatic 80 movement is fantastic !

I agree with you wholeheartedly. The indexes, dial and caseback is really something one seek for in a dress watch! The movement is also good with the long lasting power reserve that can last over the weekends and still going on Monday. Really value for money watch available to all.

I have the gold one with the gold face and brown leather strap…. When I tell you I had no idea how much I was gonna absolutely love this specific watch. I have a lineup of seiko’s an omega sea master and a a Frankenstein submariner. However I feel the most confident wearing this tissot. Any watch lover adores it and the layman see it as classy. The submariner gets funny takes from watch snobs about authenticity as well as from the layperson in passing by especially If you obviously live a lifestyle that can’t cover the insignificance of a +5,000 watch. Now if they know where u live what u drive what type of hands you’ve been dealt even a gold presidential wouldn’t be out of the question. But this tissot rides the line of no question it’s elegant it’s not cheap. It’s Swiss with a great movement. The hands look mesmerizing in person. The waffle dial is so classy. Like I said I have the gold face which I chose to bring more presence. There’s a white and it too is cool. This is a step up watch for most and it’s very worth it.

Many watches looks better then the digital image renders, I always ask people to head over to a shop to look at it first then decide on the watch.

Lost count how many time I saw this video. I need to decide between this Le Locle and the Ballade. Their both so gorgeous but it’s hard to choose. When I went to the Tissot shop I was amazed by how much better they are in person. It’s so hard to capture in photo or video the quality of details Tissot put in its watches. This watch impressed me more than a Longines that was twice and a half the price. Good choice man :)

Tissot is really upping their game recently with the PRX but this is just unique with the dial and indices. Hmm ... You've just put another watch on my short list. I'm in the process of moving one more watch out of the collection and then picking up something new, want to go on the dressier side as I wear a suit Mon-Fri and generally dress in "smart casual". I've always been impressed with Tissot but never owned one, they caught my attention again with this new Powermatic 80 movement. Hard to beat the value proposition on this one. One tip for your next video - don't forget to put it on your wrist and let us see how it wears.

I doubt so, as this movement is an ETA based. I think many private watchmakers are still able to do so. Recently I got it to service but just a basic one. But everything seems fine.

In some pictures I see the dial as white, but in this video it looks kind of cream. Can you confirm?

It's definitely white!! I think it's the lighting at my place!

@@WristDistractions I think it would be quite sophisticated if it was made from a material that can shift its hue (a little bit) depending on the lighting. Some higher end watches look different under sunset for example.

If you don't mind the tiny gap between for the 18mm strap i'll say go ahead. But i'm quite an OCD guy so i would look for a 19mm strap to fit it nicely. It's really up to your preference buddy.

Both has their charms. But if you want a sexy dial go for lelocle, if you like it clean.. a visodate.

Yes! You can change it easily! 👍🏻 if you don’t mind I would recommend you to go get the metal bracelet and change it out with a aftermarket leather strap. Now you have two options 😀

Great vid! Im strongly considering getting this watch for my 20th. I know the website lets you enter in your wrist size, but do you know how adjustable it is? I’m assuming like normal linked watches, links can be removed but I just want to be sure.

Hey pal! Changing the links is fairly simple.. it's not screw-in links but there are push pins so a simple push and the links will fall apart. though it's push pins it won't drop out easily ;D
