Tita, if I were a pageant veteran like Maureen, I'd think a million times before joining MUPh. Chonas has proven himself to be petty with a God complex and he doesn't like candidates he can't control. He's not even ashamed of hiding the fact that it's no longer a pageant won out of merit.

Thoughts about the LA Fire: Not all LA residents are rich. There are many middle class folks who lost their entire life's net worth in one fire. Many workers who commute to those fancy neighborhoods lost their livelyhoods. With the insidious practice of the Insurance Industry recently canceling fire insurance to high risk areas, many people have little or no recourse to rebuild or even afford new astronomical rates (if it is offered at all) after every claim.

IMO mas madali kasing i-politicize (not saying na nangyayari sya ha) yung provincial franchise. Kaya siguro natatakot din other queens to even try. Unless ma-anda sila to be able to represent one municipality/province. Di tulad dati punta ka lang sa screening and you pass your papers mas malaki chance mo na makasali agad sa nationals.

Assuming si Maureen, WynWyn and Yllana lang repeaters na mag-join this MUPH 2025 and sila ang Top 3 come finals night, I think Maureen is the best choice (beauty, body, brains). Hindi thesis beauty, hindi gumagamit ng hifalutin words. In short, pasok sa current prototype ng MU but on a higher level. One thing I also like ablut her is parang babaeng bakla din siya pero Alta level. But…I hope to see pageant newbies na makipag-H2H sa mga repeaters (if meron man mag-join talaga). By far, I think si Iligan, Cebu City and Baguio City ang mga newbies to watch out for.

Hi Tita L., I agree with your comment that the genocide in Gaza is more devastating. However, California-especially Los Angeles-has the most protests, specifically led by students from UCLA and UCs, advocating for the liberation of Palestine compared to other states. I agree that we need to speak up more, and I just hope that political differences won’t cause us to lose our humanity. This, after all, seems to be the goal of politicians and billionaires.

There's a reason why Maureen only ended up being Miss Globe. Very pretty, but her personality is not on the same level as Catriona or Pia. Si Teresita Sen, pwede pa. Nandun yung self-awareness that you need when dealing with something like the current MUO organisation. People always point out her lack of height, but there's a precedent- Olivia Culpo- who still won even if the Philippines was the far superior candidate
